Good job, Jeanne. I feel safer already! It seems to me that you should tell Tardevil to buy big, new, expensive things to get the country's economy going. That's what I'm telling my husband! ;-)

Beverly

Well, you girls are so clever. I have been doing my share of feeding the economy lately, but it was the retail side. ;-)

Jeanne, where are you storing these until you use them? I love those plates with the berries - so bright and colorful.

Lori

Wow! I never thought of candle stick holders in that way. I will remember this for Thanksgiving and Xmas celebrations. Thanks for Sharing and visiting me.

Jan

Jeanne...these platters are lovely!!! I'm planning on doing a few of those myself!!! Just need to go and buy the glue.

~Blessings,
Jan

ps...thanks for your continuing visits and comments!!! I love 'em.

Picket

Great idea girl...I may have to start looking for some pretty vintage plates & some candle holders! lol Hope all is well in your world sweetie...thanks for coming by and for leaving such beautiful sweet comments like you always do my friend..hope you have a glorious day today!

Diane@A Picture is worth....

Hi Jeanne,
I think your about the craftiest gal in blogland! What a great idea for a gift! Those turned out great.

I have seen her website, and I'm going to go by the thrift store today! LOL

I might even copy you! Thanks for the product recommendation with the glue!

Melissa (Missy)

What a great idea! I have several of those candle holders (no telling how many I have donated to thrift stores!)

If you need it to be temporary, you can use a high temp glue gun. Another good glue is Amazing Goop. The smell does not make me as sick. Still need ventilation. And is permanent. Very good with Animal Rocks. I need to do a post about that.

Melissa (Missy)

Beautiful craft/idea. I love it!!! How is the knee and tooth?

joy

Such a great idea that can be done specifically for holidays, birthdays, etc.!

Carmen

Dear jeanne
Just think you cleaned out a lot of other peoples junk, Oh yes I forgot, a lot of other peoples treasures.smile and yes you are keeping the small business man going. Those would make great Teacher gifts, not the hundred kinds of soap they usually get. When are we making cookies? I can hardly wait.
Much Love Carmen

Theresa@TakeASentimental Journey

Hi Jeanne , I have done some of these , they are fun to do and so fast. I have given a couple of them as gifts and they just loved them . I haven't got a post up for today, I might show you the ones I have made. Yours look great !

Brown-Eyes@Blinks 'N Winks From Brown-Eyes

Hi Jeanne...Fab idea...and I think you found some of the loveliest plates...I might be tempted to keep them as luncheon plates. If you were out thrifting this is a good indication you're doing much better day by day!
Hugs to you, ;-) Bo

rue

Good morning Jeanne :)

I love those! My favorite is the plate with the yellow house :)

I'm not showing that Gator chair to Rich, because he'll want one of those OSU rockers that we keep seeing at Cracker Barrel LOL

Glad you are doing much better :)

(((love)))

Darlene

Dawn

That's some clever crafting! You did an awesome job! I think I might try this. What a great way to give cookies for the holidays! You have inspired me!!

take care,
Dawn

Dana

Hi Jeanne! WELL, You know I have LONG been a supporter of g. Sales and thrift stores and reusing. I am so glad so many folks are finally getting the bug, too!!! I love your plate stands and I love E-6000!!! Yes, in case you were wondering, I would love a plate full of your Christmas cookies!!!
Have a great and thrift day! L, Dana

Susie

These look easy to do, and they'll make such a nice presentation for your baked goods!
I love all thrifty things and it's fun to "stimulate the economy" in a frugal way!

nikki

What a classy way to present Christmas cookies....you're gonna be a HIT!

tardevil

Tardevil is very proud of you....that market is correcting already!!! My personal favorites are all those Christmas plates. Would look good on a Tablescape Tuesday post. Thanks for sharing the kind of glue you used. I had a friend that did teacups and saucers for birdfeeders and painted porch posts for the stick that goes into the ground, but I never knew what kind of glue to use.

Jeanne

Blessings and much love

Jeanne: I just had to come back and thank you so very much for your sweet comment. I got tears in my eyes when I read it. It makes me feel all fuzzy when I know that I can make someone laugh with my dorky posts. Thanks for the kind words!!!!

An Enchanted Cottage

Wow - those are all GORGEOUS!!! I am going to have to make some of those! Thanks for sharing and thanks for visiting my vintage Mary garden statue!!...Donna

Linda

We are so much alike! I made 8 of those last year for Christmas and gave them piled with cookies or cupcakes on them and they were a big hit!

Blessings

Linda

Susan Ramey Cleveland

Right up my alley, Jeanne. I love shopping yard sales, thrift stores, etc. BTW, I have several pieces of those Laura Ashley dishes (blue and white tiny flowers), but mine are in red on tan. I even have a tea pot in that pattern.

Traci

Too funny, I just made a chip and dip plate today.....I put a large plate on the bottom, turned the candle stick upside down and put a smaller plate on top.....I can set a bowl or tea cup on the small plate for dip or leave it off for cookies or candy. I can find TONS of those candlesticks at local thrift stores.....

Great blog!!!
