HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB
We love you very much and we wish you a wonderful fun day.
Grandma and Grandpa
Two weeks ago I decided to tweak my guest bathroom. We have neglected it for the most part and the builder paint was still on the walls. I purchased a rug a few months ago and that rug was my inspiration for a paint color. This is not a large bathroom but photos never do a small room justice. I shopped at a store I featured at Christmas. Maybe you remember Simple Elegance. I found a few things that made me inspired to paint and update. First the before photos.
My purchases minus a lamp I found later.
I was testing the paint color. It was just what I wanted.
Notice the light and plug covers and the little green night light. Not at all attractive.
Nothing going on here and the wall color is a pale yellow. Not working for me.
Now this is much better. The wall color is working now and look at my new things. It's a start.
New lamp and switch light covers. The covers are simulated stone. The medicine cabinet is a copy of a vintage one. I brought it with me when we moved.
I love this lamp. The shade is marble. It gives a golden light.
The color really makes this picture pop.
These botanical prints are over 100 years old. I had them matted and put them in these vintage frames.
Storage is an issue so this shelf really helps out with the towels. The basket is a Longaberger umbrella stand. The dried arrangement is much nicer than it appears in the photo.
Closeup of dried arrangement.
Do you see that green piece of pottery? Not far from where we live is a man who made that design on HGTV. When he was featured, I happened to see him and I knew him from shopping in his shop. What a surprise! I went straight to his shop and purchased one like he made on his show. I love it and the color green was perfect in this bathroom.
The last new item to share is the shower curtain holders. They match the towels.
View from the doorway, The rug was my inspiration color. Even though this photo does not show the full effect of my hard work. I can tell you I am very happy with the results.
Thank you for your visit. I hope I didn't bore you.
