Good morning my dear blogging friends. I will be in Michigan for a week so I am pre-posting this today. I am visiting family and will be without my computer. Bill is home watering my plants and that is a HUGE job. I will return this weekend. Until then I appreciate your comments very much.
Today I am sharing a cup and saucer from my grandmother on my mother's side of the family. Her name was Sylva Johnson Rossman. I was named after her and you may be surprised to know my first name is Sylva. (Not Sylvia). Yep Sylva Jeanne. My grandmother was English and I confess I have never heard that name anywhere else.
My blue is an English cup and saucer that was one of her vast collection of cups and saucers. It is a treasure to me and it is on a little shelf in my bedroom.
I should have straightened the plate. Sigh! I love the flowers and the china is very fragile. My memory of a grandmother that passed away when I was only 13 years old. This treasure is a reminder of her and very dear to me.
Now please visit Sally, our wonderful blue Monday host at Smiling Sally. You will find many bloggers that share our love of blue.
Happy Blue Monday
