BLUE MONDAY A SPECIAL SISTER DAY

Thank you Sally for hosting blue Monday so faithfully.  I always wonder if I can possibly find another blue thing to post but so far so good.  I enjoy this event so much.  Please visit Sally's blog for lots more blue at, Smiling Sally.

So today my blue is all about getting together with my sisters for a day at the Biltmore.  The Thursday before I left for Florida was the fun sister day.  My dh and I have annual passes to the Biltmore and we each received two free tickets to give away.  So all five of us were able to have a great day at the Biltmore for free.  I JUST LOVE FREE!!!  Well, I do pay for my annual pass.  But since that was paid months ago I consider it free because I didn't have to pay.  My weird way of thinking, but it works for me. BIG smile!

We asked a visitor to take our picture.  He gladly helped us out.

Here we are eating lunch.

We were there all day and had a wonderful time together.

The Biltmore does not allow photos inside the mansion. sigh!

We drank a bottle of Biltmore wine, compliments of my sister Jane Anne.  She is the wine expert in our family.  It was delicious. Oh, and we did eat too.  Good thing!!!

I have never been to the Biltmore, but we are talking about it for one of our near future vacations.

I have two sisters Jeanne and we get together for some special sister's days too. We are fortunate that my mom can join us as well and sometimes my daughters too now that they're grown. One of our traditions is going for tea together and one of us brings a book of quotes or anecdotes and we read aloud to each other little snippets while we enjoy our tea.

I love the Biltmore, have only been there a couple of times. You are fortunate to leave near enough to have the annual pass.

I have one brother and no sisters. I have twinges of jealousy laced with happiness for those who enjoy the friendship of sisters. It looks like you were enjoying yourselves so much!

Today we were at Longwood Gardens where we also have an annual membership...so it was "free" too. I think that way too. ((smile))
