Outdoors comes inside. Just wait until you see the fun my grands had when we took them to see a pair of brand new baby deer. They were very tiny when they were abandoned and they were saved by a well meaning friend of ours. We took our grands to see them and this is what happened.
I will post these photos without comments. The photos speak for themselves.
This was the highlight of their visit for grand kid's week.
These baby deer loved everyone including the dogs. This part pit bull worried about the deer and watched their every move.
I hope you enjoyed these photos of my grands and two of my daughters.
The deer will be released when they can fend for themselves.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
NOTE: Please visit Susan at, A Southern Daydreamer for lots more outdoor fun. Thank you Susan for one of the most fun Meme's out in blogland. Please visit Susan's blog for more of the great outdoors.
Love, Jeanne

Love the post.

Ahhhhh, those little deer are so adorable!! How long will your friend have to take care of them before they can be released? I know they follow the mama deer around for quit a while in the wild. I'm certain your grands loved the chance to be near them. . . and to get the chance to feed them!! Whoa...that dog looked very intent about his "deer protector" job!!
Our bowling bash was a blast. My photos weren't the best cuz of the lighting in the alley, but I will get a post up one day about it. My life has been a whirl wind over the last few days.....not much computer time. I have to watch the grands today for my MIL....so half the day will be devoted to that.....but I'm looking forward to seeing them!!! :)
So it's a bridge day, huh? I think I told you my FIL was a duplicate bridge fanatic. When he retired, he spent lots of time going to the various bridge studios around town....playing bridge. Infact, when he had his last heart attack...he was playing bridge. At least he was doing something he loved to do. He also played for masters points, as I recall.
Have a happy day!!! L, Dana

Oh my gosh those baby deer are ADORABLE!!!!!!!! Lexi would have gone nuts over them!!!!! Will those babies end up being too tame (and not have a fear of people) to be let loose in the wild? I think they are sooooo pretty and hope everything goes well with them.♥

What an adorable post. I enjoyed seeing part of your family really having a blast with the little deer. My great grandson would never want to let them go. No words were needed for this show.

Gorgeous fawns! Kudos to your friends. That was so sweet of them to take them in. Unfortunately with all the human and pet contact they are getting, they will have a difficult time fending for themselves in wild and will not have the appropriate fear of humans or dogs. Your friends should look for a wild life rehabilitator in their area. I have rescued a lot of wild life over the years and as tempted as I am to keep them, I always seek the appropriate wild life assistance.

Love the deer...it always excites me when I see a deer in the woods..and yet not so much when they are munching in the garden. These babies are just beautiful!
