CELEBRATING OUR DAUGHTER'S BIRTHDAY IN GATLINBURG, NC

This town is at the North entrance of the Smokey Mountain National Park.  We camped nearby in a campground called Elkmont.  We are there to celebrate our daughter's 45th birthday which often falls while we are camping in July.   A great excuse to go to our favorite Mexican Restaurant called 'No Way Jose'

Gatlinburg ia a quaint town that takes pride in their appearance.  It is known for their beautiful flowers everywhere you go.  This photo was taken outside of No Way Jose's restaurant.  In the summer it is packed with tourists.

This is across the street from the restaurant.  It is beautiful hotel.

 
A good time was had by all.

I admit I had a bit of a chuckle at the thought of Diana waiting patiently. I remember Diana as fast thinking and high energy, and always ready. She has a soft heart, quick wit and high intelligence. And, I've always loved her.

I've been to Gatlinburg; what a fun tourist trap of a place! I have good memories of our trip there. However, I did not eat Mexican food there. No Way Jose looks like my kinda place, so I wish...

What a great celebration, with all those Lovies around!! That's MY kind of party.

You know, you can go out for Chinese or a burger, and just sit and talk quietly and eat your dinner. When you go out for Mexican food, you HAVE to have a good time. It's the LAW!

Thanks so much for visiting me for Pink Saturday...I'm not linking to Blue Monday but I had to laugh when I saw you posted about Gatlinburg. You had asked me if we could be neighbors and not know it? I love about 5 miles from Gatlinburg. :0) I'm in Sevier county...just about equally distanced from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville.

I met two ladies many months ago in our Books A Million that had traveled from Franklin, NC to look in our antique and junk shoppes. They were asking me where to go look. So now I know we aren't very far from one another.

It really is a small world at times. :0)

You know the big Craftsmen's Fair in Gatlinburg opens this Thursday, the 7th??
