Becky at, Junk to Joy is having a little birdie party and when you see the chirps you will see why they are called 'crowned' Please visit her blog and see what it is all about. If you love a bargain you will love this.
Please visit Sally at Smiling Sally for Blue Monday. If you are in love with the color blue, don't miss a visit to Sally's blog today.
Thank you Sally for our Blue Monday fun.
Cielo at, The House in the Roses, Shows off her Cottage every Monday. Her garden and home are stunning. Please visit Cielo's blog for cottage charm.
I went thrift shopping and to the community flea market put on by the Senior Olympics group. I found exactly what I wanted to display my 'crowned chirps' for Becky's Blog Party, Some 'blue' for Sally's Blue Monday and some 'Charm' to 'show off my cottage' at Cielo's lovely cottage party. My post is all about a tablescape that is entirely thrifted except the silverware and the white pitcher with the Roses. Oh, and the adorable olive dish given to me by my sister Carmen when she traveled to Europe.
OOPS, Not the hat I used it for a centerpiece, I found the hat at the grocery store for 2.99.
The oil painting was $6. I have to tell ya, It is beautiful.
The big plates were 50 cents each and the small ones were 25 cents each.
The 'crowned chirps' are from Target at 1.29 each. My friend Becky told us about them and she decided to have a blog party to feature them. I added their nest. They are the cutest things. I love the way they look on the border of the hat.
The table cloth was $4.00 and the napkins were 25 cents each. They are sittting in some pretty water glasses I found years ago at an estate sale.
Aren't the birdies adorable.
Happy Everything!
Love,
JEANNE

This is the cutest thing! I've never even THOUGHT of using a hat for a centerpiece, but it certainly does the trick! Thanks for sharing your blues.
Happy Blue Monday, Jeanne.

What a beautiful bright welcome this STORMY dark morning!! I've never heard of crowned chirps, but wish I'd known when we dropped in Target on Saturday. Just charming, every bit, and I LOVE looking at your beautiful house.
I also love your little wish at the end---Happy Everying! I could make a whole post out of that wonderful little word---isn't that just the most gracious, all-encompassing greeting? I think you were meant to say that to us today---it just lifts my heart.
love and,
rachel

OOO, Jeanie girl....this is one of the prettiest tables. I LOVE your use of the blue hat for a centerpiece. Aren't thrift stores, garage sales and flea markets just the best!!! That painting looks AWESOME where you have it hanging. Somehow, I didn't realize you had a round table...I LOVE round tables but we have so many eating around our cottage, I have our table with leaves in it so it sits about 10 to 12. If I take all the leaves out, I'd have a round table and not where for all my family to eat. lol...I do have a small round one in the breakfast room...VERY small, tho.
I bought a set of dishes at a thrift store the other day and am about to have a hissy fit to get a tablescape together. Soon !
Two grands are playing softball and this is one reason I have been pretty scarce on the computer. Our life really gets busy in the spring and summer.:)
Love you...

I love your thrifty buys....and that cute blue hat!! You are so clever! Those birds are darling.....I haven't seen them at our Target. Guess I'm gonna have to see if I can find "me-self" a little pair!
Two of the Breakfast Group gals had hail damage last night from tennis ball sized stones....thankfully we didn't get that storm. We did get one in Sept. that resulted in a new roof for the house. What a mess.
Hope you had a good time at your Garden Club....and the Sr.Flea Market this weekend!
We had a great time celebrating Marian's bd on Sat.....went to see HOP...it's a darling show.
Have a fun rest of the day! L, Dana

Jeanne, it all looks just beautiful. I love how perfectly everything fits together. The hat centerpiece was a clever idea, and I love the birds and nest with eggs.
