Thank you Sally for our Blue Monday fun.
I used to walk with my neighbor in Florida. It probably isn't what you think though. We bought a walking tape by Leslie Sansone so we could walk in place in the airconditioning. Did you know it can get real hot in Florida, especially in the summer? Even though it isn't hot here in the mountains of NC, it is tough walking with the high elevation and up and down the mountains. So I ordered Leslie Sansones three mile walking tape. I love this type of walking. Don't think for one minute that this is a piece of cake. You WILL be sweating by the time you finish three miles.
This is the one I purchased from Amazon.
I haven't walked off ten lbs. yet but I am working on it every day.
WALKING IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH
The one instruction you don't have to do when walking in place, is focus your eyes 15 to 20 feet in front of you. Just focus on your TV.
Leslie does more than walking. She uses her arms, knee lifts, kicks and more. It is fun and it makes you feel so good about yourself.
Leslie's tape takes 45 minutes for three miles. That is even better than 30 minutes. You can also choose to walk one mile to get yourself started and then two and finally three. Work yourself into the three miles.
The cost is only about $11.00. The best money you will ever spend.
Happy Blue Monday
Love,
JEANNE

I'm a long time walker. My husband and walk at least 3 miles a day. Thanks for sharing the information on the tape. It gets hot in TX for sure. I may need to try this as an option. ;-)

Morning Jeanne. I walk on my treadmill every day for about 35 minutes, setting the incline at level 2 and the speed at 3.5 MPH. I watch tv - usually HGTV and the time flies. Keep up the walking! I haven't lost 10 pounds yet either, just 5.
Hugs,
Penny

I think you have this routine down pat---do you actually "walk in one spot"? Is walking in place without a treadmill like marching in place? Do you get the stride forward workout?
I can see you're committed to your workout, and that's exactly what it takes!
love and,
rachel
