Please visit Sally at Smiling Sally for Blue Monday. If you are in love with the color blue, don't miss a visit to Sally's blog today.
Thank you to Sally's granddaughter for keeping Sally's Blue Monday fun while she is recovering from surgery.
I am so happy you are feeling better my dear friend.
AND...
Congratulations on 53 years of marriage.
Sally, I know you are under Gods wings.
You may have seen this before but I thought it was worth sharing today.
God's Wings
After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage. One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, squatted statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he gently rolled the bird over with a stick. When he moved it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead
mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise. She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her chicks.
When the blaze arrived, and the heat was scorching her small body to a cinder, the mother had remained steadfast.... because she had been willing to die, so those under the cover of her wings would live.
'He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge'.
(Psalm 91: vs.. 4)
This art is so beautiful.
Love, Jeanne

Sweet story, beautiful images---perfect Blue Monday post. Hope all is well, and that you're RESTING UP after all that flurry of wonderful activity. The young energy in that house must still be buzzing in the corners.
Have a restful, calm day and pamper YOU!

Hi, Jeanne! Those feathers are AMAZING! I've not seen anything like that! Fun to catch up with you here. I am actually launching a new blog today, with new creative focus--I'm very excited about it. In a few weeks I'll be closing Pink Purl. Thanks for visiting me there. :o) ((HUGS))

That would be you mother Jeanne. You would harbour all of us under your wing ; )
Beautiful art indeed.
Well, I was going to keep on painting today but it's raining. A nice soft summer rain. No need to water the flowers now.
I finished painting my little tea cart, a couple mirrors and managed to power wash all our patio brick work. Now that was fun. Blew my nail-polish right off my toes!!!
Another start to another week. The month is going by so fast isn't it? I better get my act together soon, because Julie arrives on Randy's day, the 24th. Isn't Magpie's birthday the same day????
We have to take everything out of the cabana, get the rugs cleaned, buy a new twin bed, file the wholes in the wall and dress it up for the girls. I'm actually looking forward to it... the boys are not. They loose their little "escape shack". Oh well it's all good. They'll be back in it by Aug. 6th. Julie and CC leave on the same day at the same time. Great timing.
Hope your resting now that the kids are gone. Soon you'll need to pack and get your buns over here.
I'm SOOOOOOOO anxious you have no idea, well maybe you do ; )
Deborah asked if she should bring Canadian money. I told her it didn't matter. It's pretty much even steven right now with ours.
So Happy Blue Monday. I'm so glad Sally is doing better. What an operation OUCH!!

What a wonderful message for Sally. This is an outstanding piece. Thanks for sharing with us all. I have never seen feathers like that. Between you and Beverly, not sure which finds the best images or photos.
