BUTTON PINS
These button pins were made by my mother's sister when she was in her eighty's. She always loved to keep herself busy. She passed away at age 92 this past year. I was cleaning my jewelry boxes and organizing everything when I came across these darling pins made out of buttons. They were forgotten and in a box I haven't looked at for years. I have never worn them. Now I am so happy to have these darling pins as a memory of an Aunt that I loved dearly. Her name was Sylva Lorite and many of you probaly do not know that my first name is Sylva Jeanne. Sylva was also my grandmother's name. Ths name Sylva is a family name that is still alive and well I have a 2nd cousin that is also named Sylva Jeanne. I feel a strong connection to my family and Aunt Sylva Lorite will always be a special memory because we share the same first name as well as her sweet button pins.
I especially love the one with the daisies in the center.
Happy Blue Monday
Love,
JEANNE

See we seniors still have something to contribute to society. This lady did a great job on these at her age. Wonderful treasures. Be careful.

These are really pretty. And, they are now quite fashionable - I have seen lots of bracelets made with buttons and I just bought a necklace and (almost) matching earrings with buttons!

What a sweet way to remember a beautiful lady. My favorite is the daisy one also. Take care.

Hi Jeanne
I didn't know your first name was Sylva! It means "the woods' ..very pretty! Your aunt's pins are very unique and it is nice to have these little mementos that she made.
I'm glad you were able to install and use the My Memories Scrapbook software! I look forward to having some more time after the holidays to use it to make more pages --I have almost finished one album!
Wishing you and your family a very joyful Thanksgiving!

Well I did know your first name was Sylva and the whole story with it. Now what box were you cleaning out this time? You must have sooooo many treasures hidden all over your house. LOVE the pins. Randy's mom's favourite flower was the daisy. It was also Randy's grandmas too.
Hope your not buying out the store.

Hi Jeanne....You know how I love Family Connections. How very special the Button Pins are, and so extra meaningful with the name connection, too. I can see these pins in a shadow box with photos and memories of your Aunt Sylva Lorite. Here's wishing you and your family a Blessed and Bountiful Thanksgiving.
