MY GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE

This was the most successful sale we have ever had.  We had fun, worked hard and made money for our projects and community contributions.

I am so proud to be a part of this garden club.  The following photos will show you why I feel proud. We rocked at this annual plant sale!!!

This sale was held in the Clocktower Garden in downtown Franklin.

This garden and the Rankin Square Garden across the street from this one, is our main club project.  We help maintain the gardens by having a workday once a month.

We are dedicated to this project.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We sold approximately $1400. worth of plants.  Our members saved, planted and brought hundreds of plants to our sale.   Thank you to the best garden club members anyone could have.

If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under!

PARTY IN THE MOUNTAINS

Many of you know these past two weeks have been busy with company and family.  I am sharing a few candid shots of time I spent with family and friends. Two of my sisters had birthdays and one of my dear sister friends had a birthday as well.  We all went out to lunch and Claudie shared our birthday party since she was here visiting. My Aunt Shirley was visiting from MI so we had quite a crowd.

All of the photos I am sharing were taken by my darling friend Claudie.  Thank you so much Claudie.

I have missed my Blue Monday Blogging friends but I am BACK!!!

For the past two weeks I have been having a wonderful visit with dear friends that I met through blogging.  Making new friends blogging is definitely a bonus that I never dreamed would happen.

Sally, you are one of the reasons that I will not stop blogging.  I do hope we will meet one day.  Thank you for hosting Blue Monday.

I hope you enjoy my contribution to our love of the color blue today.

 

 

Cheri loves to get in any photo.  She is kind of like me.  Ok, a lot like me. Big smile.

My mountain view with Teresa at, Cherry Checkers, me and Claudie at, French Pink Poodles and Pearls. Oh, and my little poodle Cheri'.

We had a wonderful two days together.  Theresa drove all the way from Georgia to spend time with me and Claudie who traveled all the way from Canada for a two week visit.  This is the second time I have spent time with Teresa and the third time Claudie has visited me in the mountains of Western Carolina.

 

Claudie and I on our last day together went shopping and to a wonderful dinner at the most beautiful country Inn.  More about that later.  We packed a lunch and ate it on the porch of our first stop at a huge thrift shop.  The customers loved to see us having our lunch and only wished they could join us.  We found a nice guy to take our picture together.

I even packed the vintage tablecloth.  Mmmmmmmm, so delicious.

PINK WILD FLOWERS FOR CLAUDIE IN THE MOUNTAINS

Claudie is on her way home to Canada after a wonderful visit with me and other Blogging friends.

More about our time together in my future posts.  As I write this post she is in the air getting closer to home every minute.

I have not been posting as many of you already know. I was in the Atlanta area since yesterday and arrved home today.   My Pink Sat. post is LATE but here it is in all it's pink Glory.

We couldn't resist taking these photos.  The umbrella is from a shopkeeper who couldn't resist Claudie's charming personality.  I don't know anyone who can. Big smile here.

A VISITOR FROM CANADA

Many of you know Claudie at, French Pink Poodles and Pearls, my dear friend from Canada.  She is visiting me here in the mountains and if you have wondered where I have been...WE HAVE BEEN BUSY PLAYING!!!

My Blog has been neglected and visiting all of you has been not happening. I hope you will forgive me. Sometimes life just happens this way.  Especially when Claudie comes to play.

One of our fun outings was a trip to Charleston, SC.  It was a whirlwind one night and two day stay with nonstop laughter and fun.

We stayed at the Meeting Street Inn in downtown Charleston.  I am sharing a few photos of the good times we enjoyed there.

All of these photos were taken by Claudie.  I haven't found a minute to download mine yet. Thank you Claudie, for letting me share your photos.

MOTHER'S DAY - Honoring my mother

 

 

 

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO MY MOM

This is my mother at age 18.  She was the 'most special mother' to her children and she was loved.  Her name was Mae, a delight to all who knew her and especially me.

What Is a Mother?

A mother can be almost any size or any age, but she won't admit to anything over thirty. A mother has soft hands and smells good. A mother likes new dresses, music, a clean house, her children's kisses, an automatic washer and Daddy.

A mother doesn't like having her children sick, muddy feet, temper tantrums, loud noise or bad report cards. A mother can read a thermometer (much to the amazement of Daddy) and like magic, can kiss a hurt away.

A mother can bake good cakes and pies but likes to see her children eat vegetables. A mother can stuff a fat baby into a snowsuit in seconds and can kiss sad little faces and make them smile.

A mother is underpaid, has long hours and gets very little rest. She worries too much about her children but she says she doesn't mind at all. And no matter how old her children are, she still likes to think of them as her little babies.

She is the guardian angel of the family, the queen, the tender hand of love. A mother is the best friend anyone ever had. A mother is love.

WE ARE HOME FROM CHARLESTON

I am tired from playing and driving a very long time for a very short trip.

Charleston is lovely. especially the lovely homes there.

We took a carriage ride and this is one of the beautiful homes we saw.

I haven't downloaded my pics but I found this photo on Google to share for today.

There are many beautiful homes in Charleston and this is one of thm.

The flowers on the shurbs are pink but hard to see.
