TODAY IS THE DAY
My dear friend Bobbie is coming to see me. We have been friends for 53 years. I moved several times in all these years and so has she but we always stayed in touch with each other.
Here we are several years ago.
Jeanne and Bobbie
We are dear forever friends.
We are leaving for Atlanta to pick her up today.
Bobbie now at age 72 and still as beautiful as ever,
We met when we were 19 years old.
She has never been to our mountain home so you can imaging how excited I am to see her. We will definitely visit the Biltmore in Asheville.
Oh happy day.
Love,
JEANNE

Why is it that all of us 70 year olds are so gorgeous, honey?!?!?! Well, you two are anyway. I'm just cute. ;-)
xoxo,
Connie
Can't sleep tonight....

Oh, Happy Day, indeed! How stylish you are, in your flared pants and tiny waists.
I'm still on a Mountain-Top-High from last weekend, when we met our friends Kim and Mike in Pittsburgh (halfway between their home and ours) and just talked all weekend.
Have a WONDERFUL visit!
love and,
rachel

Hello! I came across your blog while searching for Dogwood trees in bloom in Florida, and I found a post where you mention you are staying in a cabin in Jacksonville with a beautiful Dogwood in bloom in your yard. This post is more than four years old, but I am hoping you wouldn't mind sharing where you were staying. I live in St. Augustine and I would love to see the same tree you so beautifully photographed. Thank you for any information you can provide!

All my best!

Hi Kate, We lived in the mountains of Western NC and this tree is behind our cabin. I was visiting our daughter in Jax at the time but the tree is in NC. Florida does not have the weather to grow dogwood trees. They need to have a winter rest to grow like the one I shared.
I hope this answers your question. I couldn't get to you any other way. Thank you for your visit.
