My great room game table.  My father made this for my mother and it ended up with my sister.  Now she is letting me use it for awhile. I arranged this Welcome for fall and I am sharing it for today's theme. Beverly has this very same vase.  She bought one for herself and could only buy 'two.'  When we visited Beverly in September she asked me if I wanted the second vase.  I loved it, so now it is mine for a very good price.  See How pretty it is Beverly?

 

WE GATHER TOGETHER

We will share Thanksgiving with our son and his family.  They live in Tennessee about 2.5 hours from here.  We will leave early in the morning and drive back home the same day for a very special gathering that will be held in our home on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

A CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE

Yes, that's right, my sister's son just married the most wonderful woman second time around and we are gathering our family together to celebrate their special union.  You could say this is a second Thanksgiving because our family is so happy to come together for this special occasion.

I am sharing a few photos of the day they were married.

HPS!!! Your Thanksgiving holiday sounds packed with wonderful family celebrations! I know your time with your son and family in TN will be terrific. . .and I can't imagine making the trip, back and forth, on the same day. . .especially after eating TGiving Dinner!! :) Of course, you are highly motivated to get back home and get ready for the wedding celebration! AW, Jeanne, what a wonderful post... so glad I got to see your family!!!!! It w as wonderful also to see that you had visited with me and I appreciate so much your kind sentiments on my blog. My life is crazy now with both parents in separate nursing homes and I don't get around as much as I used too. maybe once we get their home on the market next month things will settle down a bit.
