NOPE...THIS IS NOT THE ROSE PARDE
Every float is made of flowers but they are very different from the Rose Parade.
..What began in 1936 as a flower parade has become the oldest and most celebrated ode to blooms in Europe. Ever since its inception, Zundert in the Netherlands has hosted an annual flower show Bloemencorso, with an average 50,000 visitors descending on the town to look at the brilliant displays.
Creators use dahlias for their breathtaking displays and build gravity defying sculptures. Many varieties of flowers were used in the fabulous floats. I only picked the pink ones to share today.
These houses are all made of flowers. This is a float built on cars.
I love the expression on the cow's face. All done with flowers.
Musical magic.
This is beyond words. a city of flowers.
All I can say is...WHAT! How did they do this???
This is some kind of fish...I think!!!
HAPPY PINK SATURDAY
Blessings and love,
JEANNE

Thanks so much for this interesting little trip. What interesting buildings. Glad you got to visit and see many different things in our world.

Hi Jeanne. I didn't see this corso parade). We have a lot of those corso:s in Holland, we are THE flowercountry of course. LOL
I don't know if you noticed but these ( buildings are all made of flowers, so no houses here. LOL They are all built on big cars. Tell your readers, LOL. As I said we have lots of flowerparades. The most famous is the one in April when all the tulips, daffodils and all the bulbflowers are in bloom.
I hve been looking at your earlier posts and I love the Heidelberg Castle. I ave never been there.
Happy pink Saturday.

Jeanne a lovely Pink share! I am seeing flowers everywhere. I guess we all have Springtime on our minds. Nick ran well yesterday. I am always exciting waiting for his next race.
Have a wonderful weekend. I think flower parades are perfect and very amazing. All the work involved must be amazing to see the final creative gift!

Wow!! Those floats rival the ones at the Rose Bowl Parade!! Just gorgeous!!! And so awesomely pink!!!
Hope you had a great weekend! Ours went by in a flash...didn't do much, but it flew by!! We did see the new T. Cruise movie "Jack Reacher"...it was pretty good and it seemed better because we went early and got a cheap ticket. It's not worth a full price ticket! ha ha!
Yesterday was packed with church and breakfast out then home to put on a pot of beef stew, nap, walk/run, eat and watch TV in the evening. All in all...non eventful (and I appreciate non-eventful days right now).
Got a project I have to finish today!!
Hope the weather is better there now. It's gonna be near 70 here today, but the bottom is gonna drop out again over the rest of the week. I know it's just Jan. but I'm sick of winter.....I want some warm spring/summer days with gentle and plentiful rains!!
