CHRISTMAS DINNER WITH MY SISTER DIANE AND FAMILY
Me and my sister Diane
My niece and her family (diane's dtr)
My nephew Bill and his wife Yael. (Diane's son)
Please forgive me for sharing the family photos. We have never spent Christmas day with my sister. She lives out of state and it was a special day.
Diane's Table for Christmas
The dishes were a thrift find for only $12. She has lots more of these hand painted dishes. They are beautiful in several different designs for each plate. The centerpiece flowers were picked from her garden. This beautiful bush blooms every Christmas. They were stunning. The name is... Proffessor Kramer's Camellia
My sister's table and chairs are from the 1940's. The table is extra wide and roomy. Many table cloths will not fit the width but she found this hand embroidered one which was a perfect fit. It has some age too but it is hard to put a time frame as to when it ws made. The candlesticks and the silver tray holding the camellias are also vintage.
The glasses are raised hand painted holly w/leaves. Beautiful.
I must share her chandlier because it is so beautiful. I have shared it before.
As you can see she loves birds and my last photo is of her Christmas tree which is decorated with all birds. The shades are french and very old.

Jeanne, don't forget to tell Diane that I think she is amazing. She is beautiful, her family is beautiful, her home is beautiful - and I am in love with her camellia centerpiece.
Mrs. Whaley, of Mrs. Whaley's Charleston Garden,http://backyardneighbor.typepad.com/backyard_neighbor/2013/01/my-sisters-christmas-table.html, pronounced these shrubs as camaylias. Did you know that they are from the same family as tea?
And, those dishes are "to die for".♥

Your sister did everything up right for the holidays. Nothing too fancy for me. I enjoy things pretty, but I am all for the simple things of life.
