A VISIT FROM OUR DAUGHTER AND GRANDS
This is the time of year that our daughter Diana and our teenage grands Ashley and Logan come to the mountains for a visit and a ski day in our mountains.
You could say it was a BLUE weekend because I was sick in bed while they were here. BIG SIGH!
However, they had a great time just the same.
Ashley explored a very old cabin down the mountain from our home. She had fun taking photos and being the object of some photos which were taken by our daughter.
We know the people who owned the cabin but I believe they have since passed on and the cabin is very much in deteriation.
A story in photos with Ashley...She is a senior in high school and has just been accepted to the University of Florida, the alma mater of her parents, aunts and uncles and her grandfather.
We can't believe how fast she has grown into a lovely young girl and ready for college. WOW!
Can you tell she is nearly 6' tall, lovely blond hair and blue eyes. Yep, the all American girl.
It started to snow.
Ashley, walking up the driveway to Grandma's house. It was a fun couple of days and the snow was a bonus.
More about our grandson Logan and this weekend another day.
Forgive this proud grandma for indulging herself with this post about Ashley.
Happy Blue Monday.
Blessings and love,
jeanne

Hope you are feeling better Jeanne! What lovely pictures and Ashley is a beautiful young woman! We had a little snow this weekend too.

Oh, Jeanne, what a SPECIAL POST! Ashley is so beautiful, and she's smart too! What a great combination.
I'm so sorry that you were not your bouncy self during the visit, but knowing you, you were a teeny bit better because you had family visiting. (I trust all is well today.)
Have a good Blue Monday!

And what Gransmama WOULDN'T be proud and indulgent of such a splendid young lady!! I'm so glad for you that the children and Grands can visit so often. (And don't you find that though you do and do and do when they're coming, and entertain and talk and BE WITH all you can, they can STILL have a good time at your house even if you're not in the room? I think I lose track of that cause I want to cram a lifetime into these visits).
Always good to have a visit from you, Sweetpea, and hope to be blogging again soon. I have 999,000 pictures since Thanksgiving, and not a WORD to say. We just had our Valentine's Day Dinner tonighs, Caro's day off. Moire non on that soon.
love and,
rachel

What a wonderful post and I enjoyed reading about your daughter and beautiful granddaughter. How very proud you must be! Great series of photos amidst such wonderful country, very different from SoCal but such a small world, as my name is Diana, too. I'm a new follower. So nice to meet you!

Oh my gosh they are so adorable. They look so cute in those mnaihctg outfits. I am glad they fit. Thank you for sending me the link. I miss dressing baby girls. I had so much fun shopping for them. My little girl is now 7 and likes to dress herself. I still get to dress my baby boy up, but boys outfits are not quite as cute as the girls outfits. You have such a beautiful family. Congrats!!!!!
