Very true, and we are very close to this now.

Scary indeed, my friend. It just keeps getting worse and worse but having faith in my Lord gives me hope.

Life in the age of computers... The only thing on the list that saddens me is music, I could live without anything on TV (except football:@) but I do listen to music often. Happy New Year Jeanne, I wish you all the best in 2014:@)

I hope you are faring well and staying warm, and that the weather didn't/doesn't SOCK you too hard. It's mostly past us, with predicted clear and low of 5 tonight. Ours was 4 1/2 inches on the ground, and Chris is out clearing off the car, for his wheels must roll on a workday.

I hope you'll be sharing more about your family celebration/Christmas/trip/wedding when you have time. I always feel as if I've had a visit with friends, or a warm family hug.

love and all the best in this promising New Year,

I am not surprised by any of this.

The Post Office has gone from being personal where you knew your mailman or the postmistress to being incredibly slow and rude. Nothing makes me madder than to stand in a loooooong line and watch as one clerk handles all of this as other able-bodied people lolly gag. If you are a supervisor, get off your big horse and get down with the little people who are your customers and HELP. I say, good riddance! Government at its most wasteful. The private sector simply outstripped them!

Television? Who needs it? The programs aren't worth watching. There is filth on cable with bad language while others are deadly boring. I rarely watch.

The land line? I never use mine.

Books... I will be soooooo sad when they go the way of the dinosaur. But I will continue to treasure mine.

All of that being said, I hope you and yours have a by Happy New Year! My friends in NC tell me they are freezing to death so stay warm and be safe!
