PINK SATURDAY CELEBRATES EASTER

Beverly at,How Sweet the Sound, is celebrating Pink Saturday and Easter with some Spring  fling thrown in the mix.  This makes for a very festive Pinkie day.  Visit Beverly's blog for lots more  pink and yellow Easter celebrations to share.

My post is a mix of decorations and some blogger gifts received at the blogging party shared on last weeks Pink Saturday.  This is just a few of the many gifts from that lovely party.  More of the gifts will be shared another day.

First I am wishing blessings and Happy Easter greetings to each of  my dear blogging friends.

NOW FOR A MIX OF SPRING AND EASTER FUN.

Sheila at, The The Quientessential Magpie , gave me the colorful flower stuck in the plant. It turns in the wind.  Thank you Sheila.

Good Will find for $1.00, with a happy dance that followed this purchase.

A thrifty find for a couple of dollars.  This snow baby bunny is too cute and valuable as a collectible. My sister Caralie spotted it, but she let me buy it.  Thank you sister dear.

Beatrix Potter's Samuel Whiskers.  A sweet gift from my sister Caralie when she went on a trip to England several years ago.  A treasure I cherish.

The watering can is a gift from my sister Carmen for my birthday. She knew I would love it and use it often. Thank you sister dear.  The bunny is another thrifty buy.  Oh joy!

These are  the very sweet gifts I received from Becky at, Holiday in the Sun   She baked cookies  that were to die for delicious.  Sorry, I ate all of them in a flash.  The sweetest tag and bunny too.  Thank you Becky.

This darling pin cushion with the buttons was crafted by Deborah at, Vintage Soul.   Another sweet gift at our blogging party.  Thank you Deborah.

More fun gifts to share and believe me this is just a small part of the gifts which I will share later.  I know I said that already, but I'm old and repeating myself. HA!

The chick is from Claudie at, Bubblin'Over and the headband flower is from Sheila at, The Quintessential Magpie Thank you both so much.

This plate is a very special gift from Claudie at, Bubblin' Over   Special...because it was hers and she gave it to lucky me.  It is so beautiful.  Thank you Claudie so much for this lovely treasure.

The little cherish pillow was a gift from Claudie too.  I do cherish our time together at my home and the birthday blogging party.  I call this' Bloggy Love' and I'm lovin' it!!!

Last, my Happy Easter banner from Cracker Barrel for $3.00.  It was $9.00.  I found this on my way home from Florida.

Pink Saturday

Jeanne has asked me to let everyone know that she has no internet service due to the weather.  They have been informed that the earliest the service will be restored will be Monday because of the high elevation of the location which needs to be reached.  The company is concerned about the safety issue and their employees.

Jeanne does have power,so please don't be concerned that they are warm.  They are.

REMINDER - PINK IS FOR CANCER AWARENESS MONTH IN OCTOBER

Just think my blogging Pinkies.  We have the perfect color to celebrate National Cancer Awareness Month coming up next Saturday.  Actually it will be in effect as of October first.  Let's flaunt our pink this month for fighting cancer.  Beverly at, How Sweet the Sound, our gracious host for Pink Saturday would love to support Cancer month by encouraging you to post something pink every day for the month of October.  BJ at, SWEET NOTHINGS, asked us to do this last year and my guess she will do it again.  I am just reinforcing her idea.

On September 13th Meagan gave birth to these...


WE ARE GETTING A POODLE
Our new baby poodle is the one under the white poodle.  Beverly thinks these new babies are ugly.  She has had poodles and is a poodle lover too.  (in her defense)  She has never seen newborn poodles before.  They have the pinkest little noses.


Do you remember Cain?  He is the daddy of the above babies.


This is Noah. His daddy is also Cain.  It gives you an idea what our new puppy will look like.

This is probably what she will look like when grown, only she will have the white on her forehead and face. This is Jojo, my daughter's red poodle.  Jojo is from the same breeder which is Utopia Poodles.com (I posted the link below)

PINK SATURDAY FUN

ANNOUNCEMENT

I am going out of town again for 10 days.  We are visiting an aging aunt and a cousin and his family in Kentucky.  Then we are going to Kansas City for a baseball game.  This game is planned for about twenty of Bill's sports forum friends.  People he has chatted with on the internet for many years.  He is very excited about this and many of the wives are going too.  I will try to post but if I miss, I know you will understand.  This is the last trip this summer.  I PROMISE!  Missing you is a given.  Big sigh!

My longtime friend is the host for a very large event that happens every Saturday.  One might think the pink will run out eventually.  Not so.  There is so much pink on this earth it is is endless.  Be sure and join the Pinkies and go to Beverly at, How Sweet the Sound to visit the long list of Pinkies who love the color pink.

You might know I have a seemingly endless amount of pink photos to share with all of you. In my travels this summer, I found the following pinks to share.  You all know by now that any museum in my path will be visited by me.  This was  a general store with goods for sale.  Goods that would have been purchased many years ago.  Now we can only look at them.

I love this doll holding a doll.  All girls love dolls don't they.  I'll tell you a secret, my girls did not love dolls.  They grew up with boys and loved to play ball more than playing with dolls.  I blame it on my dh.  His love of sports rubbed off on them.


Check out the cowboy hanky on the oh so sweet quilt.  I love the basket quilt and the dresden plate quilt too.  This is for all you quilters out there.


Hat boxes always get my attention.  This is quite a variety.


This coffee grinder is quite beautiful.  Why would a coffee grinder have roses painted on it?  Pink roses at that!!!


Can you guess why I took this photo?  Dana, these teeth are for you.  BIG Smile!  This was a dental office next to the general store.


This is a replica of a vintage dental office.  Check out those choppers.  Scary to say the least.
