Billy Graham wrote about a woman who, after experiencing a death in her family, sensed a strong urgency to share faith. When a repairman completed servicing her furnace, she backed him against the wall and asked, "If that furnace had blown up in your face and you had died, would you know for certain where you would spend eternity?" The guy was so startled by the inquiry, he forgot to leave her a bill. So many people worry about personal disadvantages that witnessing may cause. Here's a lady who shared her faith and got her furnace fixed free.
Blessings and love...Jeanne
Jeanne! I love it! Billy Graham is one of my favorite people on earth and is the one person (celebrity or otherwise) I would love to meet in person. Wouldn't you just love to hear him talk about his life? And this story is perfectly on point!
I'm up late (can't sleep), and I'm so glad I read this. Now I can go to bed with a smile on my face! Thanks!
Much love to you, sweet friend...
XO,
Sheila :-)

Good Sunday morning to you dear Jeanne...You know what?...my maiden name was Graham...I sometimes fibbed & said Billy was my uncle (when I was a kid)...Oh, I hope I've been forgiven for that...besides I don't think anybody ever believed me... LOL...I hope your day is nice & easy! Big hugs, ♥ Bo

Jeanne, great post! I have always admired Billy Graham, too. I remember watching his televised crusades ever since I was a young child. I believe he is a true evangelist of God's word. I will say that there have been times I felt he went a bit to far aligning himself with different presidents, but it is difficult to navigate that fine distinction.
I loved Bo's comment - and I just love Bo. And, you, too - of course.

What a great story! When we have repair men come to our home it seems we always start to talk about Jesus. I would like to think that they can tell Jesus in is our home just by the atmosphere.
Blessings,
Ginger

Good story. I love Billy Graham and his message. The woman in the story was a good evangelist. I do hope she followed up with payment for the work done on her furnace.

I am so glad it didn't snow as much as they said it would . I have a busy week ahead of me and I didn't need messy weather hampering me.

Hi Jeanne!
Billy G. always seemed like a real man of God to me. He had such a wonderful, sincere, and truly spiritual presence when he appeared before a camera (I never heard him in person)--unlike many TV evangelists who weren't always as honest as they wanted us to believe!
I finally started feeling better today--it just took the healing hands of a little grand girl to do the trick!
Hope your knee is getting better by the minute! dana
