Today is an event where we can share our treasures we purchased that had another life back in the day. Diane at, A Picture is Worth a 1000 Words, is our host for this fun event. If you love treasures that have seen other, not necessarily better, days, then get on over to Diane's blog and share the beautiful things our fellow bloggers have found for their homes.
Several weeks ago I was visiting Penny at,Lavender Hill Studio, when I saw the most beautiful mosaic tray on a stand. Penny worked her mosaic magic on it and it was 'love at first sight' for me. I commented immediately and told her I wanted it. We made the deal and it was mine. For those of you who may not know about Penny's beautiful mosaics, please visit her blog and be prepared for 'love at first sight' with her art in mosaics. You will want to buy what she has in her shop or you can even custom order as well. You will also want to visit 'The Comforts of Home' site by clicking on the logo on her right sidebar. This is where she shares her crafts and decorating or just something interesting about her daily life and interests.
This past Saturday we decided to meet at the Biltmore for the annual Flower Festival and lunch at the Bistro which is at the Biltmore Winery. The plan included the delivery of the tray which saved it from being mailed. We included our husbands and had a wonderful time together. Now for some photos.
Penny and me at the Biltmore. Penny posted about our meeting this past Sunday. For the sake of not repeating her sweet post, I will say we had so many things in common, it was quite amazing. Check out those gorgeous tulips.
Talk about things in common, look at our husands. They dressed alike, worked for the same company at different times and they are both engineers. LOL.
NOW FOR THE TRAY
The tray lifts off the stand for convenience. It has handles on both ends.
Look at the lovely work in the mosaic design. It matches my red wall perfectly.
Look how well it fits in with my French Country decor. Oops, Bill' s gator crocs are in the photo. He would 'love' that. Go Gators! will probably be his last words. LOL
A preview for Wednesdays outdoor post. BIG smile!
Thank you Diane for hosting this fun event.
Happy 2nd Time Around Tuesday.
Ponder this!
Equal amounts of dark chocolate and white chocolate,
is a balanced diet!

Good Morning Jeanne!
We did have a wonderful day, didn't we? The tray looks perfect in your country French dining room! It looks like it was made especially for that room! Thank you for saying such sweet things about me and my mosaics.
When I first saw the picture of your room with the red crocs, I honestly thought you staged the photo, like they do in magazines to make the room look really lived in! They match the room perfectly :-))
xoxo

Jeanne, I'm just checking in for a minute, and then I need to head off to bed. I saw several of your sweet comments on my blog and wanted to tell you I appreciate you and everyone being so sweet!
Love the tray table. Penny does beautiful work.
I'm off for another week or so. There is a lot to help with on the aftermath of this death, and I'm unable to blog and do that, too. I'm pretty tired from the long trip to the funeral and back.
Sending love to you...
XO,
Sheila :-)

Before you invest' check out they have a list of reocsrues regarding MLM schemes, what to watch out for, consumer complaints, and recent government action against MLM companies. Also check out the Federal Trade Commission warning/alert on MLMsHere are the main points from the FTC:The Federal Trade Commission cannot tell you whether a particular multilevel marketing plan is legal. Nor can it give you advice about whether to join such a plan. You must make that decision yourself. However, the FTC suggests that you use common sense, and consider these seven tips when you make your decision: Avoid any plan that includes commissions for recruiting additional distributors. It may be an illegal pyramid. Beware of plans that ask new distributors to purchase expensive inventory. These plans can collapse quickly and also may be thinly-disguised pyramids. Be cautious of plans that claim you will make money through continued growth of your downline the commissions on sales made by new distributors you recruit rather than through sales of products you make yourself. Beware of plans that claim to sell miracle products or promise enormous earnings. Just because a promoter of a plan makes a claim doesn't mean it's true! Ask the promoter of the plan to substantiate claims with hard evidence. Beware of shills decoy references paid by a plan's promoter to describe their fictional success in earning money through the plan. Don't pay or sign any contracts in an opportunity meeting or any other high-pressure situation. Insist on taking your time to think over a decision to join. Talk it over with your spouse, a knowledgeable friend, an accountant or lawyer. Do your homework! Check with your local Better Business Bureau and state Attorney General about any plan you're considering especially when the claims about the product or your potential earnings seem too good to be true.

You can NOT bake in just any glass tray. Make sure it's oven (heat) proof glass. Fire King, Anchor Hocking and Pyrex all make heat proof glass cooking and beaawkre. If you use a glass tray that's not oven proof, you'll have a huge mess in your oven when it breaks. My neighbor found out the hard way when she put a pretty glass tray of cookies in her oven to keep them warm. She had the temperature set real low, but the tray shattered after a few minutes. Not all glass is heat proof!

Yes you can.You can use baking spray to coat pan but old fihnaosed crisco and flour work the same. You may also use some of the dry cake mix to dust your pan and you will not have that white on your cake. It has been my experience to lower the baking degrees by 25 so that the cake does not burn on sides.

For this drive wwhich is the Hitachi veiosrn which was released back in 2006 I believe. The most common reason for a open tray error is that the motor is seized. Replace the motor and you're fine. Moving the motor as the video shows will not fix this problem & if for some miracle it works. It is not a fix but just a temporary solution. Replacement of motor is the only fix.

This gives me flashbacks to trniayg, a sport my roommate and I invented in college that involved a lunch tray, cooking spray and any carpeted surface. The rules are basic. Spray the bottom of the tray with cooking spray and place it about at a predetermined position. Get a good running start and jump on the tray. Whoever gets the farthest without falling wins. We also attempted a modified version of tray jousting but that wasn't pretty.
