My blue today is a beautiful gift from a friend. It is a hen casserole dish from Williams Sonoma. I rarely use it and I have it displayed in my corner cabinet in my kitchen. The spoon in the photo is vintage and is made from a mother of pearl shell. The handle is inlaid with mother of pearl too. I actually did not mean to take it with the casserole. A bonus. BIG smile.
My corner cabinet is black, a nice contrast for the casserole dish. I think there is enough blue to qualify for Blue Monday.

Beautiful casserole dish! Love how colorful she is. And that mother of pearl serving spoon is amazing. I have some collection of these, mostly ducks.....Christine

What a great casserole! The black cabinet is great for the photo. The casserole almost seems suspended in black air.

Now that is just too pretty to be a casserole dish, lol! It's more like "art" and that spoon...wow!
Thanks for coming by. I've been so busy I haven't visited my bloggy friends as often this past week. We're getting ready for a big 80th bday party for my dad and I'm doing all I can to refresh and prep the house. So much to do!
How are you doing?!

If I had more cupboard space I would have many casserole dishes. They are a weakness of mine.
Yours is very pretty!

So much fun to get a gift from a friend and a WS gift is always welcomed for sure. It is lovely. Now go and make some food to serve in it and have your friend over to share the meal.

Hi Jeanne
I love that rooster casserole dish. I’ve never seen anything like it…and the spoon is perfect with it. Love that too. Thank you for sharing. P.S. I totally agree with your Best Music Selection too. I enjoy all those CDs. Hope you are having a loving day. Your temps are up a bit higher than ours…about 4 degrees but spring is definitely in the air!
Enjoy the evening.

Howdy back yard neighbor. You captured a wonderful photo of your charming casserole dish. It does look good against the black.
