HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY GREETINGS TO MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND BLOGGING FRIENDS.
As promised, I am sharing some more St. Charles photos for this Memorial Day. Several photos taken that day reflect this holiday. I hope you enjoy them. I am joining Blue Monday with our host Sally at, Smiling Sally. I believe there is lots of blue to share in the following photos. Be sure and visit Sally for more blue today.
Pat at, Back Porch Musings, checking her camera for the right setting. We both took many photos that day. Be sure to visit her blog and you will see the most beautiful photos. Pat really knows her way around a camera. Her decorating and tablescapes, etc. are the best. Be sure and visit Pat's blog. If you aren't already a fan, you soon will be one.
NOTE: My Uncle, many times removed was in the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery. He is known for being the first white man to describe Yellowstone National Park's many features such as Old Faithful, petrified wood etc. His name was John Colter. He discovered these things because he is the only member of the Corps of Discovery that did not return home. He stayed out West and lived like a mountain man.

Good morning, my dear friend. I just finished reading and responding to your e-mail. I am downstairs at my desk, and gazing out the window. It is still overcast this morning, and I can hear the birds singing and the water trickling in the fountain. Ah, bliss!
Your photos are wonderful. Pat certainly does look pretty, and I love that bright yellow on her. She is a very talented lady. Thank you for sharing more of your day with us.
Love you.

Hello Jeanne!! I hope you are having a great Memorial Day. So far--not much rain, huh?
Your post today is terrific. I love the shot of Pat--she's a real photography talent (among her many talents) and I agree with Beverly, she looks great in yellow.
Those photos you shared make me want to revisit St. Charles soon. I hope I can. Bonnie and I were there the summer they dedicated that L and C statue.
We're off to my BIL's house for a cookout this afternoon. I just made a chocolate cake and some broccoli slaw to take over, but first, I'm gonna take a little nap. I'm tired from all of the fun I've had lately!! :)
The wedding last night was gorgeous and my pew bows looked fine. YOU were a topic of conversation with Mary Ann and Mary---we all enjoyed your visit so much. Beth said she was sorry she missed out on our good day!
Have a good day kiddo!! L, Dana

Loved the pictures!! I live in Powell WY and the highway (all 4 lanes of it)going thru town is called Colter Ave (Hwy 14A). We know all about the old cousin of yours in this part of the county. In Cody WY there is a place called Colter's Hell...it is on a bend in the river but smells like rotten eggs. Enjoyed hearing your story!!! Marybeth
