My post today is all about flowers that I photographed this week along the highway in Franklin,NC where I live. I am sorry to say I don't know what they are except beautiful. Someone help me please. Enjoy.
This filed of flowers was along the highway and I want to show you the detail in the different colors mixed in together. Sp pretty.
This poppy was in a field across the street from the other flowers all alone. I loved it.
Thanks Susan for the opportunity to show my love of the great outdoors.
Blessings and love to my wonderful blogging friends.
Jeanne
DEAR JEANNE,
OH MY GOSH...WHAT BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS GROW ALONG THE HI-WAY IN N.C.
I CAN'T BELIEVE IT...I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE BUT I WOULD TAKE A SET OF EACH TO PLANT IN MY YARD HERE IN OKLAHOMA.
WHY I WOULD NEVER GET DOWN THE HI-WAY FOR TAKING PICTURES. I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN WHAT THEY ARE.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR SHARING.
BEAUTIFUL.
BLESSINGS

Jeanne I believe those flowers are phlox. A different variety than the ground cover phlox. Your photos are beautiful.
We're storm watching tonight. A big tornado in Kirksville MO, one death that we've heard. That's probably 150 miles north of where we are at the lake. It's raining here.

Those flowers are so, so beautiful. My mom had some once and so did I. She called them sweet williams...I called them dianthus...they are the same. West Virginia also plants wild flowers along the interstates. They haven't come up yet.

You won't be seeing anything that beautiful along the highways around KC!! :) I actually recognized that flower (dianthus), but couldn't think of the name--it's so great that there are real flower knowledgeable folks in the blog world!! I DID know that the last one was a poppy! Your photos are great! Dana

They are so many pretty florews, with intoxicating effects. They can overwhelm anyone who is near them, like a gust of wind in a snow storm.Or a happy drunk with a new bottle of wine.Flowers are so pretty.
