Outdoor Wednesday is one of my favorite days to post. I love that we can go outside on our porch, enjoy warmer days, and the delightful signs of spring. Many thanks to Susan at, A Southern Daydreamer, our host for this event. Be sure to visit Susan today, because there is a big following for sharing the great outdoors. You will love what you see.
I am also joining Rhoda's Garden Party at, Southern Hospitality. she is hosting more gardens which fit right in with Outdoor Wednesday. Come and join in more of the wonderful outdoors. Be sure to be included in the fun with Rhoda's event today.

I have some photos of my porch/deck to share. I have posted it before but this time I have a few new things to share. First of all I cleaned for half a day to take these photos. I spruced up the space with some new flowers and a special gift from my backyard neighbor. (my sister) Included are some garden photos as well. Spring has sprung in the mountains.
My flag is the gift I was telling you about. It is so me. The bird house and flowers are lovely and the bluebird is what my sister's antique business is named after. Bluebird Antiques, Atlanta, GA. The gift is for taking care of her BF's lab, Sasha while they were on vacation. The best part is her BF hung it for me. He also installed some hangers for my hummingbird feeders and two of my bird houses. All part of my spruced up porch plan. Photos coming next.
This is NEW! The table and chairs are perfect for this space. I found them at BIG LOTS. The wicker fits in with the rest of my porch furniture.
Check out my NEW hummingbird feeder hangers. I love them. Newly installed and oh, the view.
NEW hanging baskets. They are all perfectly even but the photo distorts the first one. I hung over the side of the deck to get this shot. It is 20 feet down to the yard. LOL.
Getting a better idea.
I can't leave the gator corner out. (I would like to though) My gator loving dh's favorite space. The rug is NEW. A gift from our gator loving children. (I am soooo outnumbered)
Outdoors now, these hostas have grown huge overnight. this dogwood tree has a neat shape.
My new gazing ball, a gift from my cousin Marilyn and her dh.
My lilac tree is a dwarf variety. This is the corner of the cabin.
A few of my irises. I have never grown them before.
The old rocking chair and geraniums. They are just beginning to bloom.
Have a wonderful outdoors day.
Love...Jeanne

Jeanne, I love your deck and your yard! What a great spot. And all of your plants and rockers and wicker and feeders! NEAT! I think the colors on that orange and blue chair might be better served by being garnet and gold and that there should be a slash through that gator, but otherwise, it's wonderful! ;-)
Just kidding. Love it all and you, too!
XO,
Sheila

Hi Jeanne!
I would love to be there with you today. I imagine tea on your porch surrounded by the view and pretty flowers. We are about 2 weeks behind you here in the U.P.. I have been out in the garden today getting dirty and loving it! My knee is allowing me to do more each week. That's great news but I want to do everything right now just like I used to. Doesn't that sound selfish??? I AM BLESSED to have the movement and the ability to walk that I have now. Some folks never get this far! I constantly have to remind myself!!!!
I Love you, and miss my N.C. cousins......Chris

Jeanne, what a view indeed! Wow, that is just gorgeous there in the mountains. Must be NC, I love that state. You have some beautiful blooming things and your porch is wonderful. I would kill for a porch like that. I had to laugh at the Gator corner, I've got relatives in FL who are Gator fans too, so I totally understand. Thanks for coming by today!
