Well after eating all that cake last week, I decided to post a shopping trip in St. Charles, Mo. Beverly, our host at, How Sweet the Sound, for Pink Saturday is delighted about all the Pinkies that participated in the birthday celebration. Anyway, I was hoping just remembering all the cute things I found in St. Charles, I would burn some calories. NO!!! Darn. Don't forget to visit as many Pinkies as you can. We all love comments don't we?
OK, lets go shopping.I love this bluebird bench. What did you like best?
Note: No matter what I did, I couldn't get rid of these lines. Beverly help!!! (Done - ;-) Beverly, you are my hero. 'J'

FAREWELL TO YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK
Our time in Yellowstone National park has been wonderful. I want to share some photos as we leave this beautiful place. If you want to view the photos we took of the wildlife in the park click HERE.
The North entrance to the park. Est. March 1, 1872
These hot springs are all over the park. Steam coming from the earth and sulfer minerals are evident where ever the hot springs exist. It is clearly a hotbed under much of the park.
Sulfer and steaming water
Hot Springs Terraces
More hot spots forming these cones.
These hot spots look scary to me.
Now for the beauty. This is Yellowstone Lake and it is huge.
Stunning waterfall
Snow capped mountains
Still lots of snow in higher elevations
More beauty
Unusual vegetation
The many looks of Yellowstone.
That's me saying goodbye to a wonder of the world. Yes, we saw Old faithful more than once but the photos were not good. It was so cold that the boiling water caused so much steam the geyser was not clear. sigh.
If you looked at this long post, I thank you. It could have been a whole lot longer. LOL.
If you looked at this long post, I thank you. It could have been a whole lot longer. LOL.
Love...Jeanne
The bench! 2nd fave are those flower lady figurines. They are flowers, right?
What an exciting trip it has been. Those steams . . . and the waterfalls is like a painting.
Can't say much really, I am in awe with these views you've shared Jeanne. :-)
Happy PS!

I'll take a bag of the Pink Taffy, please! :) All of your pinks looked great.
Your Yellowstone photos were great. I have never been there--did not know about the huge lake or the wonderful rock wall at the entrance. You looked great in your farewell photo.
We're looking forward to your next phase of your trip!!

From the wonderful shopping in St Charles to beautiful Yellowstone Lake...a wonderful post! The sulfur doesn't smell very good, does it? LOL
I am sorry you didn't get to see Old Faithful in it's glory. It is still perhaps a bit too cold. It looks like you did see some of the damage from the quake. I was young living in Pocatello Id and still rememeber feeling it and how sad my parents were so many friends had died.
Now, off to beautiful Colorado after Jackson Hole... wish I was with you! :-)

That strawberry taffy looks mighty fine. We went to Yellowstone in about 2003 or so. Such a strange and beautiful place. Parts of it are like being on another planet.
