Today we join Diane at, A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words for 2nd Time Around Tuesday. We share our treasures from thrifting, antique shopping, or something that has been re-purposed. Please visit Diane's blog for a look at some 2nd Time Around fun.
I am sharing a dresser you have seen in an older post. You might remember it belonged to my husband's grandparents. It is very old and a bit rough in condition when we saved it from being discarded. We have used it in our bedroom for 40 plus years. I never changed anything about it until now.
The dresser with the drawers removed. The mirror is not original to the dresser. The back board is missing a board. I said it was "OLD"
The drawer pulls are not original, even
though they are vintage.
Not at all attractive!
My new old drawer pull.
The new pulls are installed. I like them so much better.
An overview of part of the master bedroom. My sister and I painted the gold stripes on the wall behind the bed. (the hardest thing I have ever done) I wanted to mimic the stripes on the bed skirt. The bed and end tables are reproductions of an antique bedroom set. I think the vintage dresser ( corner on the right)
looks great with this furniture.
Have a wonderful day.
Love, Jeanne
Note: Sorry about these lines. I tried everything to make them go away to no avail. Sigh! (I fixed them for you. Love you. Beverly) THANK YOU BEVERLY, I love you too! "J"
Surprise!!! I love you. And, I hope you and Bill have a good day.
Of course, you already know I love that dresser. I recognize those pots of roses. That was a fun day. I haven't been back to that shop in years. And, I adore your bedroom.

I love the painted stripes. I had them on my former bedroom wall, and I'm planning on using that technique on my living room and dining room walls in the new house. I don't do the work, though; I pay for professionals to do it! I guess you could say that one way or another, we both "pay" for it! LOL
