Our host today is Diane at, A Picture is Worth a 1000 Words. Thank you Diane for hosting an event that so many enjoy. Please visit Diane's blog for many treasures to enjoy.
Today I am sharing some 2nd time around antiques. Most probably these have been several times around.
This collection belongs to my daughter-in-law.
Everything in this photo is vintage. My favorite is the lamp.
Today in NC we are threatened by flash floods and lots of rain from hurricane Ida. Ida now is a tropical storm but she is very WET.
Early this morning we did not have internet service so my post is late.
I am thankful to God that we do not live in a flood zone.
Blessings and love, Jeanne
When we first got married our apartment was completely furnished in 2nd-time-around decor, honey!! We've come a long way for sure... Yep, now it's furnished in 4th-time-around and fashionaly in style!!! :-) The ways of the world.......*sigh*......hah
xoxo,
Connie

Ida waved as she passed by yesterday. I do hope she doesn't give you much trouble.
You must love to visit your daughter-in-law's house.

Beautiful blue lamp, I adore it.
Its so scary to be on the watch for flooding, it just seems to happen so fast!.
Be safe,
Elizabeth

Hi Jeanne,
You're right. Up to my ears in baby stuff. Actually, I'm thinking about starting to decorate for Christmas. I was going to "do" Thanksgiving, but figure if I don't get started on Christmas, I'll never make it! Hope you're doing well dodging rain drops today. Was going to participate in 2nd Time Around Tuesday, but never got my post together. Love that lamp. It is gorgeous. I would hold on to that forever, if I were her. Take care!

Oh what a pretty post. I love the lamp too.
Praying for safety for all of you in the stormy weather.

That is a very pretty lamp. I like it too! I hope the storm doesn't cause too many interruptions in your day. The last few days here have been unseasonably warm. I even had a boy come to school without a jacket today...and it was warm enough at recess for him.
take care,
Dawn

That is a beautiful lamp. We are getting wet here in my part of NC too...Flash flood warnings are out. I am safe at home, spending my day painting the rest of the kitchen.
Hugs,
Penny

I love 2nd time around items! We just got an antique bed and vanity from my brother and his wife. It originally belonged to my mom and dad (so I guess it would be 3rd time around). I love the mirror!

When you visited last summer, you saw that I decorate in "many times around", too! :) I personally think it's the best way to decorate---it's usually afforadable (if not oftentimes FREE) and it shows our individuality! Now for those gorgeous items your DIL features in her home...I love 'em all, but that sweet purse is speaking to me!
We're still having glorious weather, but, as I type this, I'm hearing the local TV weather guy tell us it's gonna get cooler!!!
Hope little Cheri' had a great day! :) L, Dana
