Blue Monday is hosted by Sally at, Smiling Sally. Thank you Sally for your longtime event that we all love so much. Be sure to visit Sally's blog for lots more blue to enjoy.
When we were in Colorado this summer we saw this beautiful blue Victorian Bed and Breakfast. We had been visiting Miramont Castle and the B&B was on the same street as we were leaving.
We didn't stay there but I would have loved to stay in that gorgeous place. So I did the next best thing. I took photographs for my blogging friends.
The back of the house. The view is spectacular.
Happy blue Monday

Today is Show off your Cottage Monday at Cielo's lovely cottage home. Be sure to visit Cielo at, The House in the Roses, and enjoy lovely cottage decor in Blogland.
Today I am sharing our daughter's kitchen and breakfast room. You have seen her breakfast room so most of these photos are of her kitchen. It is one big room so it is hard to separate them.
Just a reminder for the breakfast area
The theme in both rooms is apples and the wall paper above the cabinets is the small red check in the curtains.
You can tell by her fridge...kids live here.
I helped her decorate this area and there is a story behind the red paint. Her hubby forbid her to paint the kitchen red. When he realized it was going to be red he called our daughter outside and I over heard him say, "I do not want our kitchen to be LIPSTICK RED." (the color is called tomato red) Well the promise we made to him was... if he didn't like it after everything was finished, we would repaint it a color of his choice. The next night when we were finished we held our breath when we heard him come in the door. We waited and he didn't say a word. We finally got the nerve to go in the kitchen and hear the bad news. HE LIKED IT!!! All's well that ends well.
I hope you like it too.
Love, Jeanne
It is charming, Jeanne. And, the grounds are gorgeous.
Happy Blue Monday. I hope you are still feeling better. Love you.

I just love that blue house. I am a porch person, so that is what sold me on it.
Your Daughters Dining Room and Kitchen is beautiful. I like how you and she decorated it. You did a great job.

Hi there~
Just popping in from Cielo's. Saw that you were participating in the cottage showing today. :)
I love your daughters kitchen! I would never be bold enough to use red. Never!!! I keep things very light. I wish I could be more brave. I think it's just because I hate painting SO MUCH. I don't want to redo anything over if I hate it.
I'm glad that it all worked out for her and that hubby liked it.
My fridge looks the same.. hahaha!
Love the plates on the wall above the sinks. Beautiful!
((Hugs))

And I think the blue B&B looks fun.

Love the blue house, but Jeanne, your daughters home with all the red, fridge loaded ( I always had the kids art all over it, now I have special magnets I cannot have a bear naked fridge even if it's blue) looks so darn comfy and cozy.
I'm waiting for Cielo to open up shop... but she's not home : (
How is Miss CC
Wait till you see the little pink poodles I have been working on. I thought of CC the whole time I was painting them and making them pretty. I will post them on PS.
Love You and all your beauty.
Love Claudie
Happy Blue Monday and SOYCM!

HI Dear Jeanne! Oh, I'm so sorry you've been sick. I'm glad you're feeling better and will pray you'll continue to feel better.
The blue B&B is so lovely. Adore that wrap around porch.
Your daughter's kitchen is just wonderful. You know how I like red. She has it decorated just right - with her mom's help. Glad her hubby liked the red!
I think my button works. I don't know how to do it and got some help from some very giving bloggy friends.
Be a sweetie,
SHelia ;)

That blue B & B does look like a wonderful place to stay! Photos certainly are the next best thing! Your daughter's kitchen color is great. So glad you SIL liked it, too.
Has your little fur-bundle nibbled on any of yours or Bill's leather shoes? Our golden retriever, Luke, ate a leather shoe of mine, our son and our daughter. He didn't get near any of my hubby's shoes! He wasn't a dumb dog! :)
We've had a cold rain all day (and all of yesterday, too). Folks near St. Joe had SNOW! Hope it stays away from KC!
Nite!!! L, Dana

Wow your daughter's kitchen is just beautiful. Love the color and the plates too. That was a lovely B and B too. I love the porch on it with all the trimwork.

We do appreciate the lovely pictures Jeanne. You take some lovely ones. I love the color in that kitchen too. I think red is a nice color in a kitchen. Very cheerful! I remember back when I was house hunting back in 2005 I wanted to buy this house we saw so bad because the living room was red and the floors were wood. Unfortunately it didn't work out. Happy Belated Blue Monday.

Both of your posts are beautiful today! I love the Bed and Breakfast! What an absolutely perfect looking house! I just don't know if I would want to share it! LOL! Your daughters kitchen looks great! The red looks awesome. It makes a really fresh and cheery looking kitchen. Hope you are having a great Blue Monday and enjoy the rest of your week! Sherri : )

Red looks so lovely in her kitchen! Much better and happier than boring bland neutrals. I really wonder what people are thinking when their house ends up in beige and tan colors - yuck!

There are not too many charming B&B accommodations in the states like Blue Monday. However, there are beautiful ones located on the east coast in Greenwich Village. The decor may be different, but the main point to realize is that both types of B&Bs cater to their respective local areas. They give an additional charm that make their respective areas that much brighter and attractive to tourists.
