WE ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THE ENGAGEMENT OF OUR GRANDSON BRANDAN AND MADDI.
We received the call from Brandan on Monday telling us the happy news. We are full of joy for both of them. Maddi is a Texas girl and they met at Disney world. They are both college students working for Disney. They have conservatively set their wedding date for June 16, 2012. They want to finish college before they get married. The wedding will be in Texas.
THE PROPOSAL WAS ON VALENTINES DAY
The happy couple
Congratulations Brandan and Maddi (Madeline)
We love you very much

You might guess my thrifty find is from our local Good Will store. I was shopping and didn't see anything I wanted to buy. Suddenly before my eyes appeared two lamp shades in red that were perfect for the lamps on my buffet. I now have beige ones that cost $7.99 each and red ones that cost $1.00 each.
Oh happy day!!!
Now, I will show you the before and after photos.
This is the 'before' lamp shades. They are a beautiful beige shade. I love them on these lamps. I must tell you these lamps were $3.00 each at a flea market. I have shared them before.
Now for the after which really isn't an after at all. I will change them on a whim!!!
I love these shades and they are brand new. Well, they look brand new anyway. HA!
Happy 2nd time around Tuesday
Love, Jeanne
JEANNE, Congrats to your grandson. They are so smart to finish college first.
Love your red lamp shades and what a bargain.

Congrats to the grandparents!
LOVE your thrifty red shades! They really make a difference!
So you had to be pulled up your drive, huh? Wow, that NC weather is rough this year! Maybe next year, you guys will have to install a ski lift that runs from your house and down the hill....and just leave your car parked at the bottom. At least until the snow and ice go away. :)
Hope you have a great Fat Tuesday! L, Dana
