Sally at, Smiling Sally, is our host for today's event. Please visit Sally and you will see lots of blue. In fact a surprising amount of very clever blues.
I have shown a portion of this post before. However, I have added a very important photo that I hung in the desk vignette. The flower photo was given to me from Pat at, Back Porch Musings. When we met last May it was one of the gifts she gave me. It is very special because she took it. It was matted beautifully. I looked and searched for the right frame to put it in. I found this lovely frame at a thrift store. A perfect fit. Do you know how much framing costs??? I think it looks gorgeous. There is one drawback because the control box for the air conditioner is in the vignette. I like to think of making the box look more attractive. You know the glass is half full. I made the best of it!
Overview
My desk picture vignette
This flower is stunning. The photo does not do it justice. Pat, do you like the frame? A $1.00 thrift investment that I think is lovely.
My cousin Marilyn painted this and gave it to me. At the time I lived in Florida. It was my bit of snow to enjoy. Boy, have I ever had snow to enjoy this year. In Person!
I have had these birds on porcelain for a long time. Blue Jay alert!
I have shared this before. Hand painted on china. Beautiful.
I am entering this post in 'Show off Your Cottage Monday' hosted by Cielo at, The House of the Roses. Thank you Cielo for being our gracious host for this event. Please visit Cielo's blog for lovely cottage photos. Ideas for you cottage decor that are too lovely to miss.

I love your vignette....Pat's picture is wonderful. The bargain frame...it's a perfect touch!
Our streets are showing signs of melting (traffic plus treatment), but our plants are still coated with a bit of ice. We were lucky, Blue Springs (East of us) lost power to lots of folks last night because of ice on power lines.
Been working in my work room...putting away some Christmas stuff (wrapping paper, etc)and getting ready to make Spring items for a sale I'm in in about 3 weeks.
Stay warm.....love you! Dana

Hi! I've been here before w/Pink Sat. How are you? THanks for stopping by my blog on my first Blue Monday. I haven't been able to get around to many sites today - lots of other things going on. It's a lot of fun though. I love your photos, prints and everything. And the secretary. Very nice. Enjoyed my visit! Thanks, Jenn <><

Hello Jeanne, this is a delightful vignette, the thermostat just blends right in, LOL. I think the photo of the flowers is just lovely. Makes me long for spring to come. We had rain all day today, and the snow has finally melted from my yard--hurray!

Hi Jeanne
The picture you received is beautiful. It is just the prettiest flower and the whole way it is positioned and matted is gorgeous and something you will always treasure. The frame is amazing Jeanne! Great purchase and just perfect.
Your birds are lovely. I just love birds pictures these days..lovely...and snow! Well I hope you've been enjoying it. We finally got snow today. Apparently we haven't had this much since December 9th! We haven't had a winter like this one since 1944 I think it was. Nice easy one.
You were asking about the cutting of the china. The tile cutter you use is great for the job. It takes practise but it really does cut nicely and you do have some control. I'm having more the more I'm doing. I had visions of it all just shattering but it doesn't. Its been fun.
have a lovely rest of the evening
