Gollum at, Designs by Gollum, hosts this event each week for us to enjoy. Thanks Gollum for the opportunity to share recipes.
Lets talk about old fashioned recipes. Sometimes they are really good but sometimes the new ways are good too. I am sharing rice pudding completely made on top of the stove. It is delicious and creamy.
First, presentation is everything, so I set the table for three. We celebrated this rice pudding in a lovely way. My cousin Bob is visiting and Bill and I make three. It has been quite a long time since I made a dessert just for three. I am used to cooking for a crowd. It was especially nice and the pudding was worth the effort.
What prompted me to fix this recipe. Bob said, "I LOVE rice pudding."

Jeanne, was your grandmother's rice pudding creamy or custardy? I have my grandmother's recipe and it makes a custard rice pudding. I would be happy to share if you are looking for one with a custard-like quality.

Happy Birthday to your dear sis!!! Your table is beautiful and the dessert set just perfect for this!!! Guess what????? You might not believe it!!!! I have never had rice pudding!!!!! It just never sounded like something I would enjoy. Guess I might need to try some huh.??
Hope you are enjoying your day. If you can believe it they DID NOT cancel Lexi's school today. All of the other districts were canceled except for ours! I had to use 4 wheel drive just to get out of my driveway!!! Good grief! The roads were fine though after getting on the main ones.
Hope you have a beautiful Valentine's Day.♥

Like everyone else here today, I love rice pudding! I haven't made it in years, but isn't it just the perfect dessert for all this cold weather. I can see it now — I'll light a fire tonight, cuddle under my snuggie, read a good book and savor some homemade rice pudding. Sounds like a good night for me! Thanks for the motivation.
