Today my treasure is something I just purchased a couple of weeks ago. We were in an antique mall in Florida and this booth was 40% off. When I spotted this lovely dessert set I figured what I would have to pay and couldn't buy them fast enough.
You are gonna love these!
IF YOU LIKE GREEN...my favorite color
These desserrt dishes caught my eye because of the color and then because there are eight bowls. Not common. Usually there are only six bowls.
The table cloth is vintage too. It is hand embroidered in a wheat pattern. I have had it for a long time. (it needed ironing) No time for that. I have been taking care of Cheri because she was spayed on Tuesday of this week.
The poor little thing. She only weighs eight pounds and she is soooo unhappy.
THE SURGERY
BEFORE SURGERY. BLURRY BECAUSE SHE NEVER HOLDS STILL FOR A SECOND.
CHERI AFTER SURGERY WATCHING US PLAY CARDS. WE CAN'T PUT HER DOWN FOR A SECOND.
She is feeling so sorry for herself
Green is one of my favorite colors of glassware, too. Nice find and on sale...yipee. Love the tablecloth, too. Poor CC...when Dolly and Ruby were about the same age....same thing....double woes. See ya Saturday!....Sue

I see your comment poster picked up my CollectInTexas Gal cookie instead of my SuKnitWitty signin cookie....I'm on the VTT list today as SuKnitWitty....come see my Vintage Quilt tops....all quilted....and a machine quilting tutorial. How's your quilt coming along?

Oh Jeanne I just LOVE that dessert set and it will come in handy for serving up all your fabulous goodies!!! Beautiful!!
Poor, POOR Miss CC. I know y'all are giving her a lot of EXTRA love. I always feel so sorry for them, but of course I know it is for the best. It is amazing though how quickly they bounce right back after a surgery. Give CC some petting and hugs from me.♥
We are expected (100% chance in the forecast) to get between 3 and 6 inches of snow today/tonight. Now it is just the waiting game. Hope you are enjoying your day.

Good morning, Jeanne! Oh, what a beautiful dessert set! I believe my mother has that bowl and she always used it for salad. She found it at a garage sale, but with no bowls.
Oh, poor little Cheri! Bless her little heart! She doesn't like that ole collar! You're spoiling her rotten! LOL You know I love that! Chloe Dawn is a spoiled one too!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

Hi Jeanne! Love that green set you snagged! Oh, that sweet Cheri'.....tell her I'm sorry she feels so rotten! Tell her I do, too. . . .not for the same reason, however! :) I'm still suffering with the wicked "bug" my husband passed on to me! He's so generous!
Hope you're feeling better. L, Dana
PS LOVE that moose story on the previous post!

Poor little CC girl : ( I know how she must feel. I had 3 c-sections..OUCH. She'll be bouncing around in no time. You know it.
I love the green set Jeanne. I'm not a green fan but I know you are.
I'm counting down the days till I see everyone. I need some sun on my face, I'm so white!!
Going for round 3 next Wed. I've been eating nothing but oatmeal, yogurt, bananas and brown rice...at least it's a little healthy.
Randy is starving LOL
Happy Thingie Thursday my friend.

Do you think your glass dessert set is depression glass? It is a much prettier tone of green than other depression glass I've seen.
Poor little puppy! What a cutie!

Oh, poor little thing....she looks like she feels so bad....just hold her..I'd do the same thing.
Now, that is great glassware, and you are right, how unusual to find 8...I usually only find 3 of something! Love the style and color. Thanks for linking in today, with a sick baby and all!! Happy VTT!

Neat green set and table cloth, Jeanne! But what happened to poor little CC??? Spayed??? She is sporting that Jetson's collar. She looks like Astro, or whatever the dog was there. LOL! Poor baby!
Hope she feels better soon...

CC is such an adorable little pup - she looks so snuggly! I hope she's recovering quickly. I always feel so bad when they have to wear those E -collars! (ps- thanks for the kind comments on my blog !!)

Does anyone remember the bright multi-colored aluminum glasses from the 1950s or so? They came in sets of multiple colors. Are they safe to drink out of?
