Sally is our host for this event and since she loves blue jays I am sharing three of my own. Just for you Sally. I hope they make you smile. Please visit Sally at, Smiling Sally, for lots more blue.
These blue jays are part of a pretty big bird collection of mine. I display them in my great room A Frame windows. I took them down to dust them and paint the wall a lovely gold color. Laura Ashley gold # 3.
This photo I am sharing next was taken for a special window event last year. It was hosted by Cielo at, The House in the Roses. Today I am reposting this photo to show you my birds in the windows and to join Cielo's 'Show off your Cottage' event. Next week when I am back home, I will share the painted view. 'The after.'
Those birds get very dusty up there. My recent spring cleaning and painting gave me the opportunity to take photos of them all. I will share more of them later. The new gold paint looks amazing, but you will have to wait until next week to see the new painted room.
I am in Jacksonville, FL. with my daughter this week. We had the blogging party yesterday. More about that later.
The reason I am still in Fl. this week is a joke on me. The wedding I thought was on Sunday turns out to be next Sunday. Cheri and I decided to stay for the week instead of making two trips to Florida in a week. I hope my hubby is missing me. I KNOW he is missing the puppy. HA!
Love, Jeanne
I am so sorry you got the wrong date and have to stay in "old Florida for a whole week with your daughter....I really feel sorry for you....hehehehe
Poor hubby.
Love the Blue Birds.

Jeanne, Your blue Jays are beautiful. My mother in law has a collection as well, and used to keep them on the fireplace mantle. I always enjoyed looking at them. I love that room and those windows! What a wonderful space to show off a collection!

Blue jays are pretty, but they are aggressive. It's a good thing they are so pretty. ;-)

My Blue Devils are going to the Sweet Sixteen!!! Needless to say, we are happy.
Love you. I hope you and Chris have a fun day.

Treat others how you want to be tteraed. It's one of the best ways of showing respect. If you don't treat others how you want to be tteraed, then they will treat you the way you don't want to be tteraed or just walk away.

Thank you all for the compliments! I have to admit I was kinda woeirrd about how long it was, and if people would stick it out to the end. More than anything else, I wanted to tell a story that would really induce people to click on the links to all the wonderful submissions.I've actually received more than a couple notes asking more info about the journal. I have to admit this it is entirely a fabrication for the purposes of telling the story. I've never been so luck as to find something cool like that! Thanks again!Christopher

Wow, you are very thorough! Thank you for all the links. What a gooruges Gull. Can't imagine what it's doing in this neck of the woods though. I thought your pictures were great. At least you were able to SEE the Gull in person! Sharon

Jo Posted on Kai, I loved this story! I am so glad I met you in my living room, ;-), and got cuirous as to what you were up to now. You are such an amazing source of inspiration and have such a beautiful spirit. This story was great. While I can easily get in a car and drive across country and have some excellent reflective moments, I'd never do it without music, staying in a tent, or not speaking! Wow. The outcome was amazing. I call that a spiritual experience. I always try to listen to my gut, because it talks to me. Sometimes I forget to listen. What a great story to remind us all to keep in tune.
