Today is Blue Monday hosted by Sally at, Smiling Sally. Thank you Sally for hosting the fun way to share our blue.
WARNING: I AM TAKING GRANDPARENTS BRAGGING RIGHTS ON THIS POST.
This post is about my grandson Cody. He turns 15 years old today. Cody, like his younger brother Caleb, has a love for music. He plays the clarinet in his high school marching band. We were lucky to be able to attend one of his high school football games last season and heard his band march and play at halftime. They won a superior award in their county band competition.
Cody is fun loving, quick witted, and has a wonderful ability to write original stories. He is constantly coming up with ideas the keeps us laughing.
A poem written by Cody...This is what keeps us laughing.
The Toaster
My name is Hal the toaster,
I really like to make bread
burn,
I’m not much of a boaster,
But I’m the best one you’ll
learn,
I tend to make heads turn.
I got a lot of money in the
bank,
I make the other toasters
look stank,
I have the looks and got the
stuff,
My fans just can’t get
enough,
I burn them bagels and I
toast that bread,
I make it turn black and
sometimes bright red.
I’ve been around for quite a
while,
I was even born in style,
So forget the oven and forget
the roast,
Just come down to my crib and
get some toast.
Cody put this costume together himself for Halloween.

It sure is nice to hear from you this morning. I am glad you and Caralie are home safely, and that the trip was a success.
Happy, Happy Birthday to Caleb. He is a very important member of a very special family.
Claudie's comment made me laugh.

Hey thanks for posting this thing for my birthday. You're a super legit grandma. I like how you advertised my musical capacity with the clarinet. I could get a musical career like Jethro Tull and play hard rock but then in the middle of a song at a concert I'll play clarinet. Alright thE END IS NEAR so goodbye, see you over summer.
Love,
Cody
