A few years ago on our family camping trip we all decided to go on a 17 mile biking trip in the Virginia mountains. This photo is our family that took this bike ride together. We had the most fun riding our bikes together. The trail was all down the mountain so we coasted most of the way. Lots of people were riding that trail on that day and they were pretty amazed with all of us riding together. It took us about four hours to complete the ride. We stopped to see the view and at one point we had a picnic lunch on a lovely area where a mountain stream allowed us to cool off by wading in the cold water. This is a wonderful outdoor memory for all of us.
Not a great photo but it clearly shows our smiling faces. Some of us have our biking helmets on. This was taken just as we started the ride. Six of our youngest grands are in the front. Now they are all teens except one. The smallest one in the front is now 11 years of age. The girl on the left in the yellow shirt is out oldest daughter's God daughter.

EVERY 40 YEARS THIS FLOWER BLOOMS. AMAZING!!!
Amorphophallus titanum, also called cadaverous flower has the pecularity of blooming only during three days every 40 years, a privilege that Mother Nature bestowed on this town in Veracruz .
Happy Outdoor Wednesday
Love, Jeanne
I'm thinking that coast DOWN the mountain would be great....how was it getting back UP the mountain? They'd have to send "help" for me if I was required to pump a bike up hill that far! :)
You always have the best times with your family. . .that's so awesome!!
Still haven't gotten my new computer yet. . . and this one is one its last leg. I gotta get with it!
Glad you have been able to work in the yard. I hope to do some of that today...no rain and no wind for a change.
Have an awesome day!!!! L, Dana

What a fabulous family ride!! A goal and a picnic and a task completed, with all that lagniappe along the way!
Just the spending time is a blessing, and everyone looks SO ready to ride.
Next time, be sure to pose everyone in exactly the same place---I love those chronological changes and memories.

Hi Jeanne! Oh, how much fun! I love to ride my bike, but I've never ridden it down a mountain! :) Great picture of your family and a great memory.
Jeanne, I'm having a Bathroom snapping party at my blog on Friday. I'd love for you to come!
Be a sweetie,

Great group shot, Jeanne, with all of those smiles.
I believe that I've seen pictures of this plant blooming before; it's supposed to have a REALLY offensive odor!
Sit by your phone tomorrow, and I'll call!

Wow is right. Wow, wow, wow!
Great memory of the bike ride. You know I always think you are all cute.
I found and purchased cushions for the glider, and I found a new bird cage for the sunroom. I also found a bird cage on a stand exactly like I've been looking for the front porch. Now, I have to decide if I want to spend what it costs.
I left work at 1:30, and we've had a fun afternoon. My sweet husband went to pick up dinner because we are pooped. We need to rest to have energy for tomorrow.
Love you bunches.

Jeanne my husband and I have done that same bike ride and we just loved it. How great that you could go with your entire family. It is nice to coast all the way, isn't it?
That flower looks quite scary to me, like something from a science fiction movie!
