First thing this morning I am giving a shout out for a Pinkie you would love to know. Some of you already know her.
This is a clue...
She calls herself a Texas Grit
Have you guessed who she is yet?
Here she is...the one and only Sue at, Collectin Texas Gal. Please visit her post for lots of fun, Texas history and great stories of her life that will make you smile. She loves life, her pups and quilting. There is lots more to know so go and find out for yourself.
I guarantee lots of chuckles and fun.

I want to go to Washington DC for the Cherry Blossom Festival.
How about you?

Hi, Jeanne! Love all the pink goodness this week...*swoon*... Such fun to meet your friend too. Must say, I LOVE that bottom photo and that hazy pink reflection of the blossom in the water, the great great sights of D.C. I feel homesick...LOL! But we'll be heading that way soon. :o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))

Happy Pink Saturday, my dearest friend. Thank you for introducing everyone to Sue. She is one very special lady.
I went on a school field trip when I was in the eighth grade to Washington during cherry blossom season. As you well know, being from Fort Lauderdale, I had never seen anything like it. It made an everlasting memory for me. I still have the pictures I took.

When we visited DC it was in June, so we missed the splendor of the cherry blossoms. I would love to visit our nation's capitol again. That place is truly a treasure.
Hope you are having a great PS. I'm heading out the door to GSale a bit before the grands come over for the day and night and tomorrow. I will be very, very tired the next time you "see" me! :)

My Oh My, Jeanne Gal, The Cherry Blossom postcard and other photos are absolutely stunning. You must go, it is even more spectacular to see and smell in person. Yep, this GRIT...Girl Raised In Texas...has been to the Capitol during Cherry Blossom Festival. Now about that 'Foot'...OMGosh, I cracked up...it gives the term 'BigFoot' a whole new meaning! You are such a great Pinkie and Bloggin Friend, and I so appreciate and love your visits to CollectInTexas Gal. Thank-you so much for the BigFoot ShoutOut...Ruby...pup on the right...is still suffering from the embarrasment of my bloggin' about the PupPoop Thingy. I tried to smooth it over by telling her how 'Famous' she's going to be after everyone sees 'Our' picture today on your blog...she just rolled her eyes, bit my 'BigFoot' and went back to bed!

I hope to see these someday---it's one of the special spots in the country during the Spring.
They're like a lush blanket thrown down amongst the white buildings. I've always wondered---is there an actual crop? Do the cherries follow the blossoms, and spring red onto the trees?
I have visions of visitors from all over the world, reaching out for a taste of the sweetness that is our country, and carrying home the seed for their own gardens.
And would they fall and float in bright red rafts along the water to new places to grow more trees?
Just beautiful, Jeanne, as always.
