Sally at, Smiling Sally is our host for showing our blue. Something we blue lovers like to do, is share the color blue. Thank you so much Sally for hosting Blue Monday and for faithfully keeping it going.
Today is a short post for me. I am extremely busy planning 'grandkids week' starting this Saturday. Many of my blogging friends are familiar with the drill. We do this every summer and love every minute of it. We have been doing this for about ten years. Our oldest grandson is 21 years old and engaged. He still loves to come and be one of the kids. This time, if they can manage to get time off, he and my future granddaughter-in-law will be coming too. All of our grandchildren but one are teenagers (except the oldest) now. Two of my daughters and one of my sons will be here too. Chaos will be an understatement. Love laughter and fun is the order of the day.
I better put my chef hat on because I will be feeding an average of 12 t0 14 people three meals a day for a week. My cupboards are stocked and the freezer is stuffed as well. Sleeping them all...well that takes a well planned chart!!! Lets just say we will have very little floor space at night.
Now for my blue. A butterfly I have show before. It was a long time ago so for many of you it will be a first. I hope you will forgive me for a repeat. Time is of the essence.!
This was taken by my back door.
Happy Blue Monday and don't forget to visit Sally for lots more blue.
Love, Jeanne
Lovely butterfly :-)

I've been to your camp, and I LOVED IT TOO!!!
You can tell when kids LOVE their grandparents Jeanne, they come back again and again. Such treasured memories, values/ethics learned from both you and Bill. When Randy's mom was alive, the kids would take turns spending a week at the cabin during the summer.Sometimes she would take all 3! They would have to cross the border in Wash. State, we lived in Vancouver then. Papa still has the cabin at Birch Bay. They had their rituals. They would go down to the beach every day for lunch, and if they ate everything on their plate they were allowed to have something at the taffy/candy store on the corner, come home and shuck peas (she always had a contest to see who could do it the fastest, with a prize at the end), peel corn, have dinner, campfire smores were a must at night with the neighbours, read a bed time story, and get to sleep in the attic, where they each had their own beds. They had to make their beds in the morning, that was a must. She made their time with her and Papa very special. They still remember those happy times. Oh listen to me, like you have time to read this with a gang coming. I hope your taking a little bloggy break, I didn't read that LOL
I'm taking Sister Lolotte to see her cousins, my mom and Aunty tomorrow. I have to get up early to go pick her up. It's going to be a long day, but well worth it. They will have SOOOOOOOOO much to talk about. I'm bringing lunch and dinner. Man I'm on fire lol
Randy is OK. Bad night last night, but we got to sleep in till 11:00am. It's a drizzly kind of day, love it. Suppose to be nice and sunny tomorrow for our cottage visit. Hurray.
Happy Blue Monday my dear friend. You always put a smile on my face when I see your name in my in box.
Have fun, and let those kids help you around the house ok?
Love you to the moon and back again.
Oh, and I would love you to blog about who likes what to eat? What's the fav. meal all around? Things they have learned and will cherish in their hearts from their Grams?. That would be fun. Interview them one at a time on a recorder. We did that and it was fun.
Ok gotta get things done too. : )
Love Me

What a stunning butterfly! I found one on the ground once that was dying. I picked it up and a lady said"your not going to take that are you?!) I laid it back down. As I walked away she picked it up...I was so sad that she used my soft heart to get what she wanted. Your time with the grandkids sounds wonderful Have Fun! Debbie
