Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday. Susan at, A Southern Daydreamer, is our host for today's event.
Please be sure to visit Susan for lots more outdoor fun and beauty.
My outdoor post is all about a bit of heaven right here in the mountains. My sister lives on top of a mountain one mile from my home.
PARADISE BEGINS HERE
This deck wraps around the corner of her home and goes all along the mountain view on the side of her house. Her entire view is in circle vision because to build here, they took the top right off this mountain.
Just a bit of the beauty surrounding this mountain home.
Inside this arbor is a lovely swing. This is a special place for our family to sit and meditate. Our parents and special family members who have passed on have memorial stones inside this quiet place.
This fairy angel guards this home and all who visit here from harm.
A split rail fence leads you up the driveway to 'home.'
Behold beauty
Everyone is welcome to my sister's home.
Carmen and her family enjoy a wide variety of fruit such as; pears, two varieties of plums , peaches, cherries and blueberries. All planted by my sister and her hubby many years ago.
She shares the fruit and I for one, am thrilled to be on the receiving end so I can do this...
Pick peaches, plums, pears, cherries etc. and make this...
Yum!!!
We spend many hours together making preserves and much more. A time of togetherness and sharing, not only the fruit but more important our love for each other.
I love you dear sister
Jeanne
You girls are so blessed to have each other. Families like yours are rare.
And, Carmen's home is lovely. It must really seem like heaven.
Love to you, dear Jeanne.

Sister Dear
These are lovely photos and everyday brings new flowers and lots of work with all the fruit, but I praise God for all of it and for all the love we have had all these years. I can say we have had so many blessings.

How very special a post, as you tell of your love for your family through those beautiful pictures of their homes and gardens!
Family posts are always my favorites, I think, even if they revolve around a trip or a chore or simply a small vignette arranged by your hands or a natural growing---just beautiful.

Morning Jeanne,
I LOVE your sisters home. It is GORGEOUS. I bet the view is amazing! How neat to have all of those fruits that she shares with you. Peaches are my FAVORITE!! We have that same little garden angel and she is sooooo pretty. I would LOVE to learn how to make preserves....that would be so neat!
On our little raccoon clip that is Lexi talking. I asked Alan to video a little snippet to share and we were outside watching the coons.
Usually we are VERY dry during July, but we are having a rainy spell...YAY! It poured last Friday and Saturday. Then it rained a little bit yesterday and we have rain in the forecast through the weekend. I say bring it on! Hope you are enjoying your day.♥

What a little slice of heaven, Jeanne!! I can't tell you how much my heart aches to have had that kind of quality time with my sister!! You guys are so lucky...and I know you realize and appreciate that!!
Carmen's yard is truly magnificent! I love that split rail fence and the flowers blooming behind it! And that arbor...with memorial stones inside...how wonderful!
I know you gals spend many hours of fun in that place and in the kitchen, too, as you make the yummy jellies and jams from the bounty of Carmen's fruit trees!!
This was a wonderful post, Jeanne!!
Love to you...dana

Loved your post for today. How fortunate you are. So many families are not that way. I have two sisters and thank the good Lord, we still enjoy sharing time together when we can. A lovely tribute to your sister. She lives on a small pieces of heaven on earth.

Lovely!
Isn't it grand how houses become homes just by who dwells there?
Love to the color in the kitchen I adore color in spaces...and though I appreciate the neutrals, I have failed to live comfortably with them at the cottage.
I believe your sister will always appreciate this nice tribute to your visit!

Carmen is the lucky sister to have you too Jeanne as her sister. Did I tell you that Randy made me a beautiful porch swing when we lived in Vancouver? We have carted it to many diff. places in this world. It's still with us, waiting for that special spot.
Happy outdoor Wed. Randy is feeling sooooooo much better today. He's been on the antibiotics only 2 days and feels 100% better. We are wondering now if his lungs needed the medicine all this time. I'm praying that this is a cure. I know your praying for us dear Jeanne. I can hear ya'.
It's so hot here again, but I love it. The dogs not so much. I only wish I had a pool to jump into : )
I'm going to call my mom now, haven't spoken to her in a week, bad Claudie!
Colt is at Jenna's cottage this week. Nice break for him. They must be sooooo hot with no air.
Going to my cousins "grand opening" of his bistro this Friday. It's the one that Riley and all my kids have worked at since they were young. The same cousin that had the great wedding for his daughter a few Sat. ago.
Brittany and her new beau are doing great, Riley is working hard, and me...well...let's just say I've been hibernating from the heat. I do get out around 8pm to water all my flowers. Oh the lazy days of summer : )
Love you to the moon and back again.
Love You
Love Me
xooxoxxoxoxox
P.S. Do you know that it's Mrs. Magpie's birthday on the 24th of this month? Same day as Randy's. How fun.

I love your sister's home. The arbor is so pretty and how nice to have a memorial stone. I love that idea. It sounds like your family is so close knit. I have such a small family.
Oh, I'd love some fresh peaches right now. I just love summer fruit.
take care,
Dawn

Such a sweet post, Jeanne. Her flowers are beautiful. Just came by to see what you're up to. Hope all is well up in the mountains. Keep thinking we need to get back up to Biltmore this summer, but we haven't made the time yet. Sadly, I think it's even hot up your way right now. Hope you're having a good summer!

Visiting you from Outdoor Wednesday.
What a lovely post. Your sister's place is truly wonderful. The quite area with the swing and memorials to special people who have moved on is particularly touching. And I for one, adore fruit trees. Really, really nice.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday a few days late!
