Depression glass bowl with wild berries is my treasure to share with you today. I have had this since my days of selling antiques. I found This gorgeous bowl at a garage sale and I paid $10.00 for it. I paid the price because it was made by Imperial Glass Co. and I bought it to sell. It was worth much more at the time. I'm not sure what it would be worth today. I loved it so much I kept it. I bet you would have kept it too. I love the scalloped edges.
These berries grew wild on the side of my yard in the mountains. I made jam with this batch.
Keep on shopping for those thrifty buys.
Love, Jeanne
Beautiful bowl-and berries! Homemade jam is the best-enjoy!

That is a gorgeous find, Jeanne. I would have held on to this one, too.
I'll be by for some of that berry jam on toast and a cup of coffee. Love you.

Hi Jeanne! Oh, the bowl is gorgeous! I'll be you're glad you didn't get rid of it! I love blackberries! This reminded me of my childhood - used to go across the street and pick the wild blackberries for my mother to make cobblers! Yum! She even canned the berries so she could continue making cobblers for me during the winter months!
Hope you're having a great day,
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Always lovely to see your finds and activities and projects, Jeanne! The bowl is just stunningly lovely with all those glistening berries. And to think they fulfilled their destiny in yummy, sweet, jewelly jam!
I have not canned very much this Summer, and I've missed it. And not. Not the heat and the steam, anyway. We've been having a lot of market peaches and they've been wonderful---several cobblers and a pie, and quite a few made it only to Tupperware and then onto ice cream for dessert.
Glad everything's back to normal, and hope you're well and staying COOL.
