A WONDERFUL FIND FROM MY TRIP TO OHIO
I am in love with this gorgeous hand sewn bell pull. It is from the 1970's and it is all about 'BIRDS.'
HOW LUCKY CAN I GET!!!
The poodle is my darling Cheri' and she is very curious about my photography.
WHAT IS THIS THING?
TELL ME MOM!
IT'S A BELL PULL CHERI'
This is crewel work and I wanted to you to see it close up.
THANKS MOM!!!
Please visit Suzanne at, Coloradolady for lots of great vintage treasures.
Enjoy your day
Love, Jeanne
How lovely!! I think we all had some kind of crewel-stitch kit somewhere during the seventies.
The title just cracked me up---I scanned it as "Bell, Pull and Poodle" and thought for a split second it was some kind of incantation---like in that old Kim Novak/Jimmy Stewart movie. Maybe a little Gentle, Goofy Magic to conjure Doggie Treats or chew-toys.

Hi Jeanne- someone went to a lot of work on that piece. I love the pictures of Cheri studying it.

What a unique piece, I'm sure it took hours for all that intricate work. Cheri is so cute.... come on by my blog for a friendly little bragging rights contest.
Happy VTT

Your poodle is adorable. I never saw one colored like that. At first I thought it was a stuffed dog.
I remember doing a couple small crewel projects from kits in the 1970s.

Wow, what intricate detail in the bell pull. It's amazing how much time these vintage pieces took to make. Glad it has a good home. Your Cheri' is so darn cute....all that curly hair, and she loves the camera:-)

Jeanne.....My best friend in high school spelled her name the way you do so yours will be easy to remember. Thanks so much for stopping by my Buttons for Baga and leaving the comment about the old perfume bottle. I agree with you...nothing compares to them. I have a few more similar but different items I m going to share in the weeks to come. Again, thanks for the visit and please stop back by.
