TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY IN IN AMERICA
Here is my vintage for today.
I made this Americana vintage collage for my daughter a few years ago.
EVERYTHING in this frame is vintage.
I have posted it in 2008 but I am sharing it today because there are many more blogging friends who have never seen this.
Notice the red hankerchief in the lower right. My uncle fought in the 2nd World War and he sent this to his sister (my Aunt Shirley) from his ship in Europe. He was a sailor who fought for our freedom and our right to vote.
Happy voting day
LET FREEDOM RING
VOTE
Love, Jeanne
That is lovely, Jeanne. I'm glad you posted it again. Don is a veteran and we early voted before we left NC. Have a great day.

Lovely, Jeanne, and so beautifully arranged---I love that some of the things have personal meaning for you.
This promises to be one of those "changing days" Dr. Phil is always speaking of---it's good to see the re-kindling of the impetus to let our voices be heard.

G'mornin', my sweet sister friend,
Sorry if I've not been around...let's see, I think I have missed 3 or 4 posts and so sorry about that. I sometimes just can't spend much time on the computer..errands, company, shopping...ya know...life!! :)
Maybe I can get caught up a little today...Mr. Sweet will be working at the boot shop and I can get out dirty clothes, put a few in the washer so's it looks like I am WORKING...dust a little flour on my nose and bake some canned biscuits for supper and he will think I've been so so busy all day when actually I am playing CATCH UP on my blogs. hehee hee...actually, he is the sweetest thing about my time with blogging.
I voted last week so I am urging all my friends to get out there and vote, too...
I love your collage you made for your daughter...:) Made me think of the ones I made for our kids for Christmas several years ago.

What a wonderful collage, Jeanne!!! I love the story about the handkerchief.....we have been complacent about the sacrifices our forefathers have made...and the ones our current military make every single day....so we might have the liberties we enjoy.
I also hope everyone exercises their right to vote today. Our country needs us.
Have a wonderful day!!
Love, Dana

Happy Voting Day and you know me with memorabilia. Anything that comes from family is a treasure. Fighting for your country is such a devoted, unselfish thing to do for others. It still blows me away that war is continuing at an enormous price to others.
Love your Collage my dear friend.
I'm off to get my hair cut and getting my nails done today. The sun is shining, and the day is cold, but it's good.
I'm hoping to take Sister Lolotte out tomorrow. Uncle Bill is signing at one of our book stores in Ottawa. Someone wrote a book about him and his hockey career, and he's signing from 7-8:30. Sister will love this event, and so will Randy and I. I'm going to buy a book. Now that I have the little new car, she won't have a hard time climbing in : )
So now I'm using FIREFOX instead of Safari and all seems to work well. GREAT.
Love You to the moon and back again.
