Sally at, Smiling Sally. is our host for Blue Monday. Thanks Sally for keeeping the blue going.
Please visit Sally for lots more blue.
Hannah is my third cousin who lives in Michigan. She is 14 years old and is a darling girl who has special needs. Her life became more meaningful when her parents found an outlet for her to be involved with for many years. Hannah loves horses and she is in training to be an Equestrian. She is a changed girl because of her new activities with something she loves.
I am sharing her first competition in the ring. It is informal but very important to see how she is progressing. The other young children in this competition also have special needs. My cousin, her grandma, sent these photos to me.
My cousin Marilyn right, Hannah, my third cousin and Isabel my 4th cousin.
They are riding to the competition ring.
Getting ready for the competition. The sky is the most beautiful colors of blue on this special day in Hannah's life.
Hannah with her horse.
Hannah did it..she won a first place ribbon in her class.
Hannah now spends every spare minute that she has, helping to look after the horses. Even cleaning the stables. This has made her the happiest girl, which in turn gave her a goal to achieve.
Hannah now has her full riding habit and boots. She was in a competition in Kansas City last October. It has been about two years since this event. Her progress is a credit to her effort to becaome an Equestrian.
YOU GO HANNAH
We are so proud of you.
Love, Jeanne
I love Hannah's smile! That last photo says it all.
Finding what makes our children smile is the key to the rest of their lives.

Happy Monday! Hannah looks like quite an accomplished rider! LOVE that trophy, too! :) It's so wonderful that she has found a real connection with horses which now gives her such joy!
Yes, I agree about the numbers on PS.....it's a puzzle.
Getting ready to celebrate Mary's BD by going to lunch at Lidia's down by Union Station. I have to hurry back home and get to work on upcoming sales.
We're getting a new roof in a few days. I'll have to post about the hailstorm that came through our neighborhood in Sept......enormous hailstones. The Ins. Cos are not happy, but the roofers are. There's hammering all over the place these days.
Happy Monday! L, Dana

Here's a faraway PROUD from over Here!!
What an accomplishment, and horses are some of God's noblest creatures. It's a special, special person who is loved by a horse.

I love the name HANNAH. It even sounds special.
Congratulations to a very sweet cousin of yours Jeanne.
Is that Marilyn, your cousin that has the same thing as me?? She looks very familiar.
I'm listening to Dr. Oz... all about over 40 stuff...what about over 50?? LOL
Now they want me to splash red wine all over my face. I'd rather drink it really : )
Got your email this morning. Love hearing from you. We would LOVE to meet you in Niagara on the Lake. I've always wanted to take Randy there since he loves wine so much. Then you could fly in with the girls from your area. I want Randy to meet Bill though, so hopefully Niagara.
Boys are at school. They delivered my new washer/dryer today. It's cool, but I'd prefer something from Tiffany lol

You know Jeanne, I never knew you had so many sisters. You would show one here and one there but I never actually added them all up. I love the beautiful picture you shared of all of you together. Hannah looks so happy in her blue outfit and i am so happy for her that she found a hobby that she enjoys so much. Thanks for stopping by and saying Hello. It is always a pleasure to see you again.
