TODAY IS MY SISTER-IN-LAWS BIRTHDAY
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SIL AND DEAR FRIEND
Shirley lived with us when Bill finished college. She was a student there as well. We had one year to get to know each other and we have been first of all family and 2nd dear friends ever since. For most of those 48 plus years she lived in Kansas. Still, when we are together we have lots of laughter and great times together. All those times apart seem to melt away at an instant. Her hubby is a dear person and we all love each other very much.
Have a wonderful birthday my dear sister friend
Robert and Shirley. Robert will hate this photo but it is a great pic of Shirley.
I baked this just for you sister dear.
I wish you were here to have a piece.
BIG SMILE!!!
We Love you,
Jeanne and Bill
NOTE: WE ARE IN FLORIDA
PINK ON THE CAKE MEANS
PINK SATURDAY IN MY BOOK...smile!
Please visit Beverly at, How Sweet the Sound for lots more pink.

A MORAL
Have you ever seen a baby porcupine?
Read the fable below!
Fable of the porcupine It was the coldest
winter ever. Many animals died because of the
cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided
to group together. This way they covered and protected
themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest
companions even though they gave off heat to each other.
After awhile, they decided to distance themselves one
from the other and they began to die, alone and frozen.
So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of
their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely,
they decided to go back to being together. This way they
learned to live with the little wounds that were caused by the
close relationship with their companion, but the most
important part of it, was the heat that came from the others.
This way they were able to survive. Moral of the
story: The best relationship is not the one that brings
together perfect people, but the best is when each individual
learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire
the other person's good qualities.
The Moral of the story!
LEARN TO LOVE THE PRICKS IN YOUR LIFE.
AHEM!!!
Morning Dear Jeanne! Happy Birthday to your sister in law! Yummy looking cake too.
Sweet story about the little porcupine. I've never seen a little baby one and isn't that a sweet little face?
No, I don't have a new post, just been so busy this week so I've milked this one for all it's worth! Thank you for being a follower of me.

Oops! Make that two Shelia/Sheilas as that was Beverly ahead of me. LOL! It looked like it was three of us. We'll include Beverly as an honorary Shelia/Sheila!
XO,
Sheila... the old, dazed, and confused! ;-)

Hold on just one minute, cuz I can be a Sheila too LOL. I've loved a lot of pricks in my life, but I got rid of them pretty darn fast lol .... where in the world do you get this? See that's what I like about you. You throw us a curve ball to keep us on our toes.
I think you LOVE everybody in your whole beautiful family Jeanne, isn't that so special?
Guess what I've been doing for the last 3 hours?? Give up? Trying on clothes. I'm hoping magical really cute clothes will pop out of my closet, and fit me like a glove... not happening. But I did go shopping last night. Got some nice little wool dresses above the knee. You know when one goes to Mtl. to meet her best friend who is going to take her out on the town, one has to look very chic. OUI?
So I'm going to doll myself up, BTW I'm down my 7 lbs...feel better, but going for another 4 before Mexico. LOVE IT. And yes I'm eating, healthy and yummy stuff.
Sister will entertain me while I drive tonight.
The dogs and I are watching all the Canadian Geese floating around on the river. They are getting all their energy to fly away soon. I'll miss them.
So that's it for now. I won't be on the computer till Sunday night, so happy PS.
LYTTMABA
Love Shiela (that's the new one LOL )

Happy Pink Saturday Jeanne Sweetie...
Oh what a beautiful share. A BIRTHDAY party for Shirley.
Happy Birthday Shirley. Thank you so much for the cake.
I love, love, white butter cream frosting. Yummy. And the
roses on the cake are just beautiful. Jeanne you always
have such great taste.
Now this little baby porcupine who would know they would
grow up to be so dangerous with those quills. I love this
story and the moral. I having lost most of my voice, with
my illness in May, have learned all about how people treat
someone who is different, whether it be at work, or out in
the public. Yes people do react differently if I open my
mouth and speak. Just in the last month have I started to
have the courage to venture out into the public on my own.
It has been hard, but I have decided it is my path to walk.
Some days it is easy, others quite hard. That is what I love
most about blogging, here I have a beautiful voice, and I can
be heard loud and clear.
Thank you sweetie for this beautiful share. It brought me to tears.
I love, love, love it. May you have a beautiful blessed weekend.
Please know that you are SO loved. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

Awwwww - I popped in for Pink Satruday and enjoyed this as well - what an adorable photo and GREAT story. Wonderful reminder to the Sandwich Generation caring for elderly parents and grandkids - as medication issues, dementia symptoms, etc. can cause otherwise nice people to become prickly people. Thank you for such a great reminder!!!

Yep, your BIL will want to hurt you after he sees that photo!! :) The BD girl does look great in it, however!! Was that taken at a Royals Game?
Hope your Gators have a good game. MIZZOU won.....while I was at the horrible sale!! It was a little flea mkt...first time for it to be held. Not many shoppers came out. However, Bonnie and I had a good time visiting.....and I worked on items for my next (and LAST) sale of the season.
I'm really tired....so I'm gonna crash. L, Dana
