Do you know why Pink Saturday is so special? Maybe you haven't thought about it in this way but this is the only meme I know that has a personal reminder from the originator every single week. This contact is what makes this event so wonderful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH BEVERLY FOR YOUR DEDICATION TO KEEPING PINK SATURDAY A VERY SPECIAL 'PERSONAL' BLOGGER EVENT.

SO WHAT'S NEW ABOUT COMPANY IN MY HOME?
If you know me, company is pretty common here on our mountain. However, my dear niece Heather and my great niece and nephew came all the way from Hawaii for a special event to take place in Panama City, Florida this weekend. My great niece Zoe is participating the 29th annual Gulf Coast Triathlon! This long-course triathlon features a swim in the Gulf of Mexico, a bike in Bay County, and a run through Panama City Beach. It is for young people under the age of 18. Zoe is 10 years old and is a Juvenile Diabetic.
Please join my family in a prayer for her success and safety in attempting this very difficult event.
GO ZOE!!!
We were lucky to have a short visit here on our mountain before she left for Panama city today.
I took a photo of them having breakfast here Thursday morning. You might ask what this has to do with Pink Saturday?
Check out this photo...
This is Pinkie the poodle, siting on my table.
I took this photo of Zoe on the left with Ian and there mom Heather on the right. Ian was playing with Pinkie and he placed her on the table when we sat down for breakfast. I didn't notice Pinkie until I downloaded this photo. And Zoe's pink pj's.
Hurray, a Pink Saturday photo op. BIG smile here.
We enjoyed a breakfast of cheesy scrambled egga, bacon, croissant rolls with homemade jam and orange juice. You know how I love to make home made preserves.
The centerpiece is the big surprise. This late in the year my Iris plants have bloomed for the past three weeks in profusion. There had to be at last a couple dozen blooms.
I'll share a couple more photos.
I am in awe of these beautiful iris blooms.
Mmmmmm, we put this on croissant rolls.
A special time with very special loved ones is a blessing and a joy.
Happy Pink Saturday
Love, Jeanne
What a lovely family, Jeanne. Best of luck to Zoe in her triathlon! Love little PINKIE perched on the table...I think she wants some of those yummy looking eggs and bacon, too. You just made my mouth water!!!
I am amazed at those flowers!! What a special surprise for you!
Bonnie, Patty, Marian and I went to our first Christmas Open House yesterday...in Greenwood, MO. It was nice....just not as fabulous as in the Old Days. Bonnie and I still managed to find "treasures", however! We had a terrific time looking and laughing and dining in the great tea room at the antique mall.
Hope you are having a great Pink Saturday!!! L, Dana

Irises in October??? They sure looked REAL! Are you sure, Jeanne??? I tell ya, Mother Nature has flipped her Seasonal Wig again this year! They are really pretty on your table with that wonderful Family, breakfast and Pink Poodle. Don't ya love it when a Pink Plan comes together. Good Luck Zoe!!!

Jeanne, Looks like a lot of fun. The pink dog took me back to when my daughters were younger and they always brought something cute to the table with them. Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Pink Saturday Jeanne Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. I love seeing family.
Congratulations and GO Zoe. I am cheering for you all the way.
I am an insulin diabetic so I know what a wonderful cause this
race represents. (Our future kids, and finding answers for juvenile
diabetes.) I will be sending up some extra prayers for her this morning.
Please keep me posted and let me know how she places. I know she will
finish, she has determination in her eyes. So sweet.
Breakfast looked and smelled wonderful Jeanne sweetie. You are a gal
after my own heart. Love the looks of the home made preserves. Have
you ever tried any sugar free ones? I sure could use a good recipe
for a sugar free jam.
Your iris blooms are simply exquisite. What a gorgeous vision of color
to add to this breakfast feast this morning. They are so bold and bright.
My gosh I haven't ever seen iris blooms this late in the season. Momma has
always had iris in her garden since I was a child. Many colors and how lovely
they always are. Thank you for sharing this morning. You gave me a beautiful
memory sweetie.
I will be waiting for news on Zoe. Have a gorgeous day sweet friend.
You always make mine gorgeous when you pop by as well.
Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

Oh, Jeanne,
I'm just sitting here alone in the still-dim house, checking in on my blog-friends, and this is just the most wonderful post!! Your Zoe is my Hero today, and I wish her Godspeed in her triple-journey---we went to our first Triathlon this Summer, and I have GREAT admiration for those who train so hard and participate so valiantly.
And the pictures of the family at breakfast---perfect, and then when I got down to those glorious IRIS, bright and vivid when all around us here today seems sere and drifty brown after the cold and the storms---I just had tears as I looked at those beautiful yellow blooms.
Strength and Valor are pink, I think, and Hope is surely a shade of bright yellow.
Thank you, my faraway Friend, for making EVERY day a hopeful, wonderful day.

Hey where are all your pinky friends? I thought I was late.
You just keep amazing me with your hospitality Jeanne. Everything is always perfect for company. Now this is very special company for sure. GO ZOE GO. My nephew, Deb's boy who is 32 was a juvenile diabetic too. It was horrible, and he still has a hard time with it. Most I know have the pump that they swear by, Corey doesn't want anything to do with it, I wish he would. So far so good in both sides of our family. I'm hoping for a cure soon.
So let's see what's new here. OMG I did see Shelia's post, how sweet is she? Did you see that I invited to our summer breeze get together?? She's hoping to make it. She would be such a hoot to hang out with too, don't you think?
I'm taking Sister Lolotte to Montreal on Friday. She's spending two nights with her sister while I spent time with Manon. I can't wait. All I want to do is put our P.J.'s on, sit on her bed, drink champagne and eat Chinese food out of those boxes lol weird huh? I hope it all works out. I'll have my sleeping potion ready this time lol.
It's a lovely day today, but surely not for Irises. WOW Jeanne, I can't believe it. I thought they were daffodils from the flower shop.
Save me some of those preserves please. Thank you : )

Hello, thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment. Thank you also for your kind words and prayers for my son and grandson! Very much appreciated! Beautiful picture of your family, and those iris are stunning. Are they the bulbs that bloom twice? I've bought them but it's never warm enough for them to bloom twice for me.
Blessings, Shirl

Hi Jeanne!
I hope Zoe does well and enjoys competing in the triathlon! Go Zoe!! You all must be so proud of her!
I think it's wonderful how you often have family visiting or that you are somewhere visiting family ..that is what life is all about...sharing good times with those we love!
My husband and I just got home from watching some of the NYC marathoners run -- it's a chilly day so we didn't stay out too long.
Thank you for your congratulations & Happy Pink Saturday weekend! Thanks for being a good blog friend!

Jeanne, I love pinky! So cute, and so is your family. I hope and pray that all went well for her in her race. That is so neat.
Hope you are having a fun weekend. Did you get my email with the date and time of the Christmas thing? I sent it to you after I talked to them yesterday. This is a fun group, and I will be interested to see what they do. There will be eight homes total, and they are all in walking distance. Ours is the first stop.
XO,
Sheila :-)
