Please visit Sally at Smiling Sally for Blue Monday. If you are in love with the color blue, don't miss a visit to Sally's blog today.
I am keeping yesterdays post and connecting to the following blogs for Tuesday.
Thank you Diane at, A Picture is Worth 1000 words, for hosting a great way to share our thrifty finds.
Thank you Linda at, Coastal Charm, for hosting your Nifty Thrifty Tuesdays meme as well.
Please visit Diane and Linda's blogs for some great fun with bargain hunting treasures.
I am linking to the above blogs and the vintage halltree is my entry.
It was made in England and I purchased it from an antique store. I can't remember what I paid exactly but it was abour $75. A bargain at todays prices. The canes in the right of the halltree and all vintage. Something to share another day. Smile.
Please visit Cielo at The House in the Roses for Show off your Cottage Monday. 'O Christmas Tree' is her special cottage subject today.
Last March a special blogging friend came South from Canada to celebrate her birthday. She stopped in NC to visit me. If you don't know her, here is your chance to visit her Blog at Bubblin' Over. Her name is Claudie and when you visit her Blog it will be totally obvious that her Blog name fits her personality perfectly. Claudie, I love you to pieces.
Claudie came bearing gifts like the wisemen. She gave me a surprise box and I shared many of the things she gave me but I saved many of them for this Christmas. You will see why in my post today.
WARNING... heavy in photos.
This post is all about Christmas in my house
First some BLUE for Sally.
Our stockings were handmade by our DIL who passed away last year at age 42 of cancer.
'Special' hardly describes how much they mean to us.
The little stocking is for Cheri'
Our precious, darling poodle.
Now for our Christmas trees for Cielo.
( with lots more cottage decorating photos to share)
I made the tree skirt from a quilt pattern. It is not quilted though.
I also made the angel a few years ago. This is the first time I have used her for my tree.
This is my Claudie tree.
Here is why...
Claudie gave me four of these beautiful wooden ornaments. I love them.
The cardinal is gorgeous. The rest of the Christmas balls are the 12 days of Christmas.
The ornament is from Claudie and the photo is my parents on their 40th wedding anniversary.
They were the most loving parents anyone could have and a blessing to everyone who knew them.
My fire place all decked out.
Thank you Claudie, for the most beautiful cardinal Christmas ribbon I have ever seen.
My hutch where many Claudie gifts are featured.
Santa Garland
Christmas S& P's
A darling post card.
Thank you Claudie for these beautiful Christmas balls hanging on my Chandy.
Most of all, thank you for being a dear friend.
Christmas love, Jeanne
And I'm the first to say that you deserve even more than that.
I'm glad you love them all my dear friend. It has been such a pleasure to be your friend Jeanne. I think we both knew that our hearts touched each other a while back, and will always be there for each other with much love.
Happy Blue Monday to my N.C. family and don't forget CC too ; )

I enjoyed that. I am well aware of Claudie...I am one of her GALS invited to the summer extravaganza next year. so I am going to try and make visits to all those invited blogs.
She certainly hooked you up with some fun stuff. Very pretty.
Sorry to hear of your DIL who passed away. I just lost my 35 year old son this Nov. 11th. It was heartwrenching. Making for a difficult Christmas for me and my family.
I loved the shimmery post card.....I kinda collect them and have 3 on my hutch.
Merry christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!
