Sally at, Smiling Sally, is our host for sharing our blue today. Thank you Sally for bringing us Blue Monday every week. Please visit Sally's blog for lots more blue.
I was in Florida this past weekend for a wedding shower and a Christmas parade in the small town of St. Cloud, Florida. We stayed with my daughter, She graciously made room for two of my sisters and me to spend two nights in her lovely home.
The main event was a wedding shower for my grandson's fiannce. They are getting married January 8th in Kissimmee, Florida. The shower was held in a nice wine and cheese bar wirh the most romantic setting. Everythng was perfect with great wine and cheese a beautiful bride to be and seventeen loving guests in attendence.
I'm sharing a few photos starting with some of the lovely gifts waiting to be opened.
A few of the packages here and it looks like blue was a big choice of color for the gift bags.
The bride to be wearing a banner for the bride to be.

One year ago last March my grandson's mom died of cancer at age 42. She was well loved by our family and the tree skirt Maddi is holding up was made by my grandson's mom and given to me for Christmas many years ago. I gave it to Maddi because I know my grandson will be very pleased to have something his mother made. Every holly leaf and the geese are filled with cotton and appliqued. The stars are sewn on individually. Many hours of hand work went into making this special tree skirt.
This pic of the cakes isn't great but it tasted fantastic.
Next a couple of photos of my family who attended. They came from NC, Punta Gorda, Fl and Jacksonville, Florida for this special event.

My daughter Christina, my sister Caralie, me and my niece Tina.
After the shower we all went out to eat.
It was a special day surrounded by my family and a darling new family member to be.
A huge thank you to Kim who hosted this lovely event.
One last pic of my grandson who marched in the Chrstmas parade with his middle school band.
More about the parade next Monday.
Logan is marching next to the blue marching Christmas box.
They marched and played Christmas music. I was so proud of Logan and his band.
Happy Blue Monday
Love, Jeanne

Happy Blue Monday, my dear friend.
The shower was wonderful, and I know Maddi must love all of you. She will be a terrific new member of one of my favorite families.
Jeanne, it was so sweet of you to give them this gift. It made me cry. And, the skirt is gorgeous.

What a wonderful occasion, and what a lovely addition to your family!! And parting with such a special handmade gift, with such meaning for you, will be a forever addition to their own heirlooms.
I love that your family travels great distances for special occasions, as ours does---our Thanksgiving trip was one of the best of all time.
And a marching band!! What a remembered small-town treat from my own past---I can still hear those horns and drums.
Have a warm, wonderful week!

Congratulations to Maddie. She truly is surrounded by the BEST family ever.
How cute is that Logan in the band? LOVE IT Jeanne and YOU.
It's Brittany's bd today. I got her little Tiffany's present delivered today, just in time. Randy and I will go meet her tonight for a little dinner. Randy hasn't been well these days. Poor guy. I might just have to go alone : (
Glad your home safe dear friend, I hope your sis is feeling better.

That sounds like such a wonderful time for you all. That Christmas tree skirt will be special to her for ever. I loved that your grandson was identified as the one marching beside the blue marching Christmas box...lol....Glad you had fun.

Not knowing the young lady to judge her taste, I would think the tree skirt was the most important gift of all. It would be to me. You have a nice family and the bride to be is very pretty.

Hi Mom, I'm posting a comment. I'm soooo glad you, Aunt Caralie, and Aunt Carmen came down to the shower and that I was there to see all of you. It was great seeing my cousin Tina and her daughter, Mary too. I love family gatherings. The pictures are great and Maddie looks so very happy. The tree skirt was a highlight. Giving that tree skirt to Brandan and Maddie was a great idea and I know they will cherish it!!
Love ya,
Christina
