Please visit Spiritual Sunday for more blessings. Thank you Charlotte and Ginger for hosting this special event each Sunday.
Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?
When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better. God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do.
That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.
Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD.
This was written by the author of The Purpose Driven Life: Rick Warren.
We studied this book in our Sunday School class.
A study worth reading.

Rick Warren is in touch with our Lord. I suscribe to his Twitter account and receive rich quotes that really uplift and teach. I am in total agreement with your goal of being rather than doing. If we are being, the doing will naturally follow. A great post, thanks and God bless, Dr. Bobbi

What great words to live by, Jeanne. I have not read that book, but I've heard lots about it.
I hope you are having a great Sunday!
Our grand girl went home yesterday afternoon.....then my husband and I took a NAP! Whew! Four days with a four year old is not for the faint of heart! :) THEN last night we (hubs and I) did our annual bowling gig (for a charity). I did really well....for me, but not for you! :) It was fun cuz I beat my husband each game...he is not a good loser. :)

Great book, Jeanne. My first thought each morning is thanking God for the day.♥

This is so true, Jeanne. I think too many times we concentrate on what we should do rather than what we should be. Thank you for this encouragement.
Blessings,
Charlotte
