Just to remind you we are in Maine with our RV.
Check this out.
At 1,532 feet, Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard and is the first place to view sunrise in the United States from October 7 through March 6. It is one of over 20 mountains on Mount Desert Island, Maine, that were pushed up by earth's tectonic and volcanic forces millions of years ago. Were it not for the once huge glaciers that sheared off their tops, they would be even higher than what we see today.

We will be here for the month of June.
Of course I have been doing a bit of thrift buying. We found a few things we needed for the RV. LIKE...WINE GLASSES. We sat down to a nice dinner and I only found one wine glass in the cupboard. Off to the nearest Goodwill and I found just what I needed for bargain prices.
I love these for $1.00 each.
Then we needed a microwave cover. If you don't use one, you don't know how wonderful they are to keep your microwave clean.
I found this.
This is the nicest one I have ever seen and it cost $2.00. A great 2nd time around bargain. It even has a bottom for even more protection from food making a cleanup mess.
We were driving to Acadia National Park to sightsee and our truck had mechanical trouble. It stops every time we see a yard sale. Smile.
Sadly this sale was packing up. It was late in the afternoon when we saw the sign. I did find a couple of things to buy. There is always a sleeper and I found one.
A beautiful cultured pearl necklace for...don't faint! 25 cents!!! This photo does not do these beautiful pearls justice. I am giving them to my granddaughter who is 16 and doesn't have pearls. She borrowed her mom's pearls just the other day. Squeal!
The only other thing I found at this yard sale was this birthday pillow. It was brand new and I paid 1.00. I will find someone having a birthday and add it to the gifts for fun.
I guess this is enough thrifty buys to keep me happy for ONE day. I know there is a lot more out there to discover.
Keep on thrifting and looking for those awesone 2nd time around bargains.
Love from Maine,
JEANNE
Wow...love your bargains! The pearls are beautiful. And I love those glasses. Are they Wexford? I have a set I bought at an estate sale too! Haven't put them in a booth yet, I was thinking I would use them!
Thanks for linking to 2nd Time Around!

You found some real bargains this time especially those pearls. I always love how I find something at the Thrift Shop that is on my list to look for when shopping. Have a great week. Loved the view off the mountain.

Maine--oh, how beautiful! Enjoy your time there, Jeanne! Great finds here... I especially love the pearls, you know. ;o) When we were home in the US just now, we helped my sister have a yard sale in her apartment community--it was fun. Great to catch up with you Beverly after getting back from some travels. Happy Days ((HUGS))

Oh, Jeanne!! You're THERE! The great blue vista and the never-ending sea, with the small islands beckoning a boat-ride out to explore, though I don't doubt that they would be cliff-raised above the water as are the great bluffs of the mainland.
How very beautiful---you know I've longed for that view, and now I know someone who's SEEN it. What a lovely gift. Vast and mysterious it is, and I think the mystery is a great part of the charm---the bright Pacific, with the sand and all that sunny, beachy atmosphere, has not the beckon and allure of a wild, glacier-carved, wind-swept coast of craggy rocks and lofty cliffs.
Even the little side-trips, like stopping at the familiar everyday of a yard sale at a cozy yellow house, do not belie the great sweep and majesty of the nearness and power of that coastline, that sea. Another How Great Thou Art moment this morning.
Be safe and well, my dear friend,
rachel

Happy Tuesday, my dearest friend. What a gorgeous view!!! That visit was a definite memory in the making.
And, I love your great finds. The glasses are so pretty. And, I definitely have family members that need to use a microwave cover.

Loving the sights from Maine - looks like you, Bill and CC are having a whale of a time! Love that your truck stops for yard sales.......the pearls are lovely and all the other finds you've made along the way.
Have fun Jeanne - time will fly I know.
Do you have Wi-Fi in the Rv? Just wondering.
Hugs - Mary

WOW cool pic of Bill and CC Jeanne. I did go to the site... so much information about Acadia Park. LOVE the Ocean too!!
I always use my microwave cover... but some here do not clean the cover : (
You mean you don't drink your wine out of plastic?? lol. I can't do that either. It just doesn't taste the same does it?
I'm glad your visiting so much of the park, and we get to see it with you too : )
The movie Bridesmaids was OK... I wasn't expecting what was in it. Very depressing, but funny in a vulgar way (something that doesn't turn my crank). I wouldn't rush out to see it and I'm glad Randy didn't come with me really. Everyone said it was soooooooo funny, it was, but sad in a way. Just my opinion.
Well we were in the pool today. It's 80 right now, but the heat pump broke and now they can't come and fix it for another week : ()
More darn $$$$ all the time. If it's not one thing it's another isn't it?
I missed my show "The Voice" at 10, so now I need to wait till midnight, not sure I can make it till then. Had some terrible nights sleeping. It seems like it's starting all over again... I hate this.
Enough negativity, all will work out... I hope.
Deborah had a few questions about coming here, so I called her. She's so excited. She just returned from Barbados. She liked it, but she said it was too darn hot. I told her it could never be too hot, lol.
So that's it for now my dear dear friend.
