The challenge with the makeover for Charlie -- who is suffering from brain tumors -- Charlie's brother Liam shares a bedroom with Charlie. The miracle was to make the room about each of their personalities, goals and dreams. All in a 14' x 14' space. The result is a miracle!
This is Charlie's brother Liam, looking at their wonderful makeover room.
This expression is priceless.

Beverly asked us to share a blessing and the blessing I am sharing is my sister's oldest daughter who recently finished cancer treatments for breast cancer.
My sister Carmen and her daughter Tina. My sister and my niece have both had Breast cancer. My sister is way past the five years for survivors but Tina is still not there yet.
Tina is the first child born in our family and has always been very special to all of us. She was the darling little girl who grew up to become a registered nurse. She loved nursing and excelled in nursing from day one. She always worked hard to further her education and received her final goal to graduate with her Doctorate in nursing. She is a Nurse Practitioner in the field of Psychiatric Mental Health. Dr. Tina is a loving caring women and helps countless people who suffer from mental health problems. We are so proud of her.
As you can imagine, the news about her breast cancer scared us so much. We cried and we prayed for her to come through her journey with surgery and very serious radiation and chemo therapy. In the photo above she is wearing a wig. Complete hair loss was part of the recovery process. Her attitude was always postive and wouldn't allow anyone to feel sorry for her. Her nature is happy, loving and full of fun at all times. She wouldn't hear of anyone giving her sympathy. Most of all her family. Just encouragement that had joy and laughter was her request. We did what she wanted and the blessing is a very positive Dr. report that she is now cancer free.
In this photo with me she still did not have her own hair. As you can see, her beautiful smile tells it all. Today Tina's hair is growing back and I only wish I had a photo of her cute short curly hair.
Tina is a wife, and the mother of two wonderful young adults. They are busing fulfilling their goal to finish college and contribute to the welfare of others just as their mother has done.
God has blessed us with this wonderful caring person that is a blessing to us and everyone she meets. God willing, she is a cancer survivor.
PLEASE visit the wonderful caring people that have supported "DESIGN GIVES BACK" Your visits earn $1.00 each for Miracle Makeover Projects of the future. There are countless Charlie's that can benefit from this easy request.
Thank you Beverly and everyone involved with this worthy cause.
Blessings and love to all who have and continue to suffer the terrible illness that is Cancer.
JEANNE

Happy Pink Saturday, my dearest friend. I had a vision of you up past midnight working on this post. You are a forever keeper.♥♥♥♥
I know how concerned you all were for your Tina. And, I know how she feels about wanting positivity only. I am a firm believer. We must accept and own reality in our lives, but we don't have to have a single negative feeling. Take what's on your plate, study it, stir it around and make a positive outcome.
I remember being at Caralee's home when she was cutting my hair and fixing Tina's hair for her prom. That has been many years ago. Tina has always been beautiful. She is the combination of everything wonderful about her mother and each of her loving aunts.
Is Tina's hair coming in different? My son's came in with a different color and texture.
Tell all of your family and friends to comment on my blog post to earn that $1.00 for the next Miracle Makeover. We're counting on them.♥

That was a sweet meaningful post Jeanne and I think that hope is something your blog always gives us. Thankfully there are more and more survivors of Cancer and we all thank the Lord for that. Take care sweetie.

What a great and inspiring post, Jeanne. Your sis and niece have the same happy "beaming" faces as you! That must be a genetic thing. :) I am so happy that Tina is doing so well and so is your sis. Positive feelings and attitudes make all the difference in the healing process.
Thank you for working so hard to get this amazing post completed...I know it was hard with all that has been going on at your house.
Enjoy this Pink Sat.....and get a little rest! :) L, Dana

It is wonderful how so many people that have this dreadful thing happen to them, seems to find more strength and smiling than most. I think it is remarkable. I am not sure if I could do that. A very nice post for this special Pink Saturday.

Hello sweet friend
I know you LOVE Tina, and I remember her story. She is blessed to have all of you in her life, like little Charlie in all our lives.
Wishing you a wonderful PS my dear friend.
I'm off to Montreal to spend time with Manon again. She has invited me to a "high tea" at her restaurant tomorrow. I have to dress all fancy swanky. I'm wearing that hot pink dress that I found in Franklin. The one I wore to my party in St. Augustine. Oh yes i'm happy.

Dear sister,
Thank you for the story about our cure from Brest Ca. it has been 15 years for me, Praise God. I am a living example for our Lord as He will keep you safe no matter what, if your life is placed in His hands. Tina has her faith and her family to keep her. We are all under His care. Prayer is a powerful weapon that is a gift from God that we don't use enough. I love you more than you will ever know. God Bless you. Carmen

Hi Jeanne *hugs*
This is a very happy story and the happiness is in Tina's smile now. She is beautiful and her beauty shines through. Her optimism and strength in herself and the power of God shines through. You and her look much alike. A very pretty picture of both your sister and you with Tina. All the continued best for your family.
I hope you've had a great day today

I sometimes chckeed his site, mostly because it was a part of the debate due to the volume of his readers. But I have never been a huge fan. First, his vitriol towards anti-war voices leading up to the Iraq War was excessive. Secondly it seems 90 percent of his blog entries are one sentence long statements with a link to a piece he wants to suggest. But, for whatever reason, people read him. He does jump around a lot. He was @ Time for a short while, before going to the Atlantic. Bloggers these days are being moved around faster than pro athletes.

Those cookies look deiluiocs! It would really be awesome to have some right now. xD Man, I'm craving girl scouts cookies now.The bamboo wall decals look awesome too! Lol. It'd be cute if a picture of a panda were on it somewhere too. xDAs for the heat sink, it's too bad it didn't fit. I hope the new one goes well for you though. I'll be waiting on the specs and pictures!
