A VINTAGE LUNCH BOX REPURPOSED
I was cleaning some shelves to find stuff to sell at a big flea market in our community center this coming Saturday. The seniors that participate in the Senior Olymips host this sale twice a year to raise funds to send the medal winners to the State competition in Raleigh, NC. This fall I am selling my 'stuff' to downsize my accumliation of things I don't need.
AND...I found my vintage lunchbox purse which was given to my by my sister Carmen.
I LOVE THIS PURSE ( I just forgot about it for a few years)
This is so adorable. Especially since I have red hair!
Front...squeal! Perfect for me.
Back...It once belonged to someone with these initals.

I couldn't carry this as a purse - I'm already too noisy. But it would make a great tool box.

I know your initials are not SSP but it just screamed JEANNE at me. I am glad you like it. I love you no matter what you use it for. Carmen

Jeanne, Carmen is right - it does just scream Jeanne. It is darling.
I love you, too.♥

What a neat piece!!!! So unique. I've always wished I was a redhead!

Decoupage:so very 70's, for sure! My favorite decoupage project was to take an old and metal bandaid box and cover with phrases and pics cut from magazines. Great for containing many small things. This was a memorable blast from the past.

My sister would love this purse. She is a red head. The SSP could stand for sweet, sister patsy.

See what happens when you start cleaning your closet out?, LOL.
How cool. Mom and I were just taking about lunch boxes and how I remember getting one at Xmas, when we never even took a lunch to school?? Duh for sure. I think I told you girls about it too : )
Are you going to fill it up with goodies and bring it in the car for our travels to Asheville?
Going to get my nails done today, in very bad need, then off to the doc. It's a pretty sunny windy day here.

hahaaa....this is way cute, Jeanne. These were so popular back in the 70's. I had one, too but it went to a garage sale one day and never came back. :)

That is a great item.....and it does fit you to a T!!! Love the last photo...you have come a long way, baby......even in the 3 years I've known you!!!!
I hope you don't put that lunch box into hiding again. . . it's truly a treasure!
Bonnie and I were going to a huge flea market today, but she is now sick. :( Don't tell her, but I'm glad we're not going....but I am sad she is feeling so poorly. Our temps today are supposed to get to 103!!! I was really dreading clomping around on acres and acres in the brutal sun/heat. We're supposed to go to the big craft festival on the square tomorrow, but I'm betting she's still gonna be down and out. I may run up for a bit....or not. Depends on my mood! :)
Good luck with the sale!! It sounds like fun to me!
Have a great Thursday! L, Dana
